Location although in the south of the city was well linked to trams rail and metro. It was in the conference area so close to the airport too Room was small bathroom nice and clean. Amsterdam is really expensive so value for money was fair. They also offer a free drink in the bar if you choose not to have your room serviced. Lovely bars and city views

We spent a weekend here as a family of 3 and the hotel room was clean and spacious. Rooms are ready for a revamp and looked out on to a gym area so always needed to have curtains pulled. Staff were kind and location was near to tram stops and some nice cafes

Great location. Secure underground car park very central. €50 seems expensive to some, but to be underground in the very center of Amsterdam this is the price. Not many other options if you want a car or motorbike secure and close by.

Walkable and smart City of canals, restaurants and shops.

Walkable and smart City of canals, restaurants and shops. Bicycles everywhere and they rule the roads and pavements. Everyone speaks excellent English. It has around 4-6 major landmarks and e.g. museums which took our fancy. You can do tours from where the cruise ships dock and go further afield e.g. to see windmills, dykes and how clogs and cheese is made. No distance seems too long.

A totally walkable city with so much to see. Particularly loved the STRAAT Museum. Worth taking a canal boat trip. Great food and little bars and cafes everywhere We stayed three nights which was wonderful but a week would be easy to fill. Great idea to read up on the history before you go.

My first time in Amsterdam in 29 years.

My first time in Amsterdam in 29 years. I always felt it was one of my favourite cities - a place not to visit but to experience, not to view but to absorb. I was pleased to find that it still feels the same. Relaxed, assured, pretty and interesting. But I can't give it a glowing 10 out of 10 because a couple of things disappointed me. Firstly, it has become very expensive. Eating out and going to bars leaves your wallet feeling a lot lighter. And secondly, the city is far dirtier than I remember back in the 90s, with a lot of litter lying about (the reason being, it seems, an environmental policy backfiring). Don't let this put you off. Amsterdam is still a unique place, in my opinion and I hope to return again one day...

I've always wanted to go to Amsterdam to see the Van Gogh...

I've always wanted to go to Amsterdam to see the Van Gogh Museum but there was so much more that I loved aswell! It was so nice to see all the citizens on their bikes and therefore not so many cars, and we got the sense that the citizens really love living in their city, what a nice change for us coming from Los Angeles! The food in the Mama's restaurant was fantastic, we loved the canals of course and the wonderful Van Gogh and Staedlich museum! The fact that everyone seems to speak English was good as we don't speak Dutch. It was a wonderful holiday for us, so needed and it certainly didn't disappoint!

You have such a fantastic travel destination, why are you...

You have such a fantastic travel destination, why are you putting up with the filth in the red light district? This area of your otherwise beautiful city is extremely in need of improvement. Trash cans turned over, cigarette butts , homeless people, canals in this area full of floating trash. . Seems like Amsterdam is trying to get "one up" on the filthy cities we have in the USA.

The staff are really friendly and welcoming and were always there to answer any questions. We opted for the breakfast deal and really glad we did, the food is exceptional and they went out of their way to accommodate dietary needs. Transport links are great so your in the city centre in no time, it’s also cheaper to buy your tram tickets from the hotel. We visit Amsterdam a lot so have stayed in lots of different accommodation, this is definetly one we will be returning too. Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel itself is lovely, nice lobby/bar area, front of hotel overlooks water. The staff are friendly and helpful with directions. We preferred staying here than in the City Centre as it’s very quiet and also only 3 stops to Central Station on the tram which is a 5 min walk from the hotel. The rooms are very clean and not a bad size and the breakfast had a good selection. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Amsterdam.

Location was excellent, the old City Centre & Central station were literally on the doorstep. The staff were professional, very friendly & could not have been more helpful when our Airline cancelled our flight a few hours before we were meant to head for the airport. It was one of the few city-centre hotels with a pool and a very well equipped gym. I had stayed there previously & will use it again if I'm in Amsterdam

Absolutely fantastic hotel definitely will be staying here again next time we are in Amsterdam. From the room which was upgraded to queen-size bed on arrival to the friendliness of the staff. The prime location just outside the city centre which means you get all the calm needed after a day out in the busy city centre. The metro station is a minute walk away as well. Highly recommended.
