The location was good close to everything we wanted to do; Cathedral Cove, hot Water Beach, Shakespeare Point and the town. The manager was pleasant, helpful and thoughtful. The room was big , clean with comfortable beds. Would recommend.

We were down for a funeral so did not get time to explore what was on offer. However we did travel to the waterways and went for dinner with the family and friends who came to the funeral. Lost Springs was the venue which I can imagine would be a very busy place due to the geo thermal spa and restaurant setup they have. Next time we will do the tourist thing which we are very good at!

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at this gem of a place, set in a lush forest. The surroundings were idyllic, with beautiful vistas over Whitianga town and beach. The bed was superb and breakfast was amazing - more than we could eat with more than 6 types of fruit, yoghurt, bacon & eggs, and mushrooms and tomatoes, toast...... We've never seen such a variety of teas and coffee on offer! Wish we had had more than 1 night to enjoy Beverley and Dave's wonderful hospitality. 10 out of 10!!

We joined a cruise to the Cathedral Cove from Whitianga.
We joined a cruise to the Cathedral Cove from Whitianga. It was very nice and enjoyable. The beach was scenic. It is a small town but with 2 big supermarkets where we can buy fresh local food.
It is a long drive from Auckland. It would be easier if there is car ferry from Auckland east to the Coromandel pennisula.

Whitianga is a beautiful place especially the area we stayed in being surrounded by the beach. Everything is close by in walking distance. What a bonus. The people are lovely and friendly. We tried the Slice slice baby - pizza place because we seen a lot of people going in and out and now we know why! We also had fish and chips from the shop just next to the pizza and by far the best fish and chips I've had. Fresh and tasty.

Our favourite activity was going on a Cathedral Cove Coast and cave tour with mercury Bay discoveries. Highly recommend getting out on the water.
We enjoyed a dinner at Grace O'Malleys, generous meals at a reasonable price, with a beautiful view.
We enjoyed the closeness to other beaches eg Hahei, Cooks Beach.
We enjoyed taking the ferry across to Ferry landing to explore Flaxmore Bay and other landmarks.
Great Mini Putt golf course , very well kept.
Beautiful location, Bonita was very welcoming and informative. Advised us on local attractions. The accomodation was very clean and private. There was a choice of breakfast, hot, cooked or continental. A short drive to the local ferry that took you to Whitianga where there was a good choice of eateries, couple of pubs and shops. Ferry cost $8 return trip. The Cooks beach area is beautiful.
The property was even better than the photos. My wife and I strongly recommend that you do yourself a favour if your staying in Whitianga you can’t go wrong staying with these great hosts.
I have to mention the breakfast I couldn’t eat until the evening… it was so good.. We loved the whole stay my only regret was we couldn’t stay longer.
Great bed and pillows 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely hosts. Excellent accommodation. Well stocked for cooking and eating in. Loved the salt shaker and the jug of milk in the fridge!
Literally across the road from the beach and 2 mins drive to Whitianga main street and the boat ramp.
We relaxed immediately, great calm atmosphere, beachside vibe. Highly recommended, just not when we want to visit!
5 stars 🌟
Perfect luxury rainforest retreat: lovely secluded but only a short drive away from the Coromandel East Coast highlights. Lots of things to do on the property for a relaxing day (rainforest walks, hammocks by the river, rainforest bubbel bath, skygazing spa, glow worm night walk, ...) Delicious breakfast with lots of local and home made produce.
Can't fault the accommodation! Peaceful stay in a clean and modern gated apartment complex! The kitchen is fully stocked, TV has all the options, great view of the boats on the water, pool + large spa were also a highlight. All the adjoining apartments were quiet and peaceful. Will definitely be coming back
Perfect location for a relaxed break. Fun water taxi over to Whitianga which had plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The hosts were super helpful and gave us some great recommendations. Great location to pop to cathedral cove and hot water beach. Would love to return for another stop over.
this property is beautifully set out, walking distance to town centre, walks along the beach, literally next door to the Lost Springs..all apartments are nestled into each other but you still have the feeling of having your own space. Great green space alongside the pool, really a welcoming area!
Went for anniversary. Have gone every year the past several years. Secret entrance to lost springs spa, easy 3 minute walk. Staggering distance to town for drinks after. Lovely staff, amazing rooms especially the ocean view apartments. Well worth a visit. One of THE best places to stay in Whiti
Evolve Bach was a lovely place to stay during our visit to Whitianga. We walked everywhere we needed, grocery, laundry mat, restaurants and more. It was an easy drive to Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove. Our host was responsive to inquiries and made our stay most enjoyable.
This property and our hosts were absolutely faultless and delightful. In all our years of travelling we have never come across such an amazingly fitted out bathroom and bedroom. It is not the cheapest in town but in our opinion represents gtyvalue for money. Recommend.
Exceptionally clean. The house has a good size of living, bedroom and toilet. It also comes with top grade coffee. The bed is so comfortable. The host, Jennie, is so detailed with the instructions to ensure we have a good stay.
Better than a 6 stars hotel
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Waterfront Apartments! The view from our Apartment was fantastic & it was only a short walk to various places to eat! Chris & Gina are great hosts & we would highly recommend this place to stay when in Whitianga!
Clean luxury apartment overlooking the waterway. Very spacious and fab location. Had all kitchenware required but was also a short drive to the town centre with lots of places to eat. The swimming pool was fab for the kids.
Beautiful spacious, modern and very comfortable apartment with everything you need for a perfect stopover at Whitianga. Sheree, the hostess is very warm and friendly.
We had the beach view room. We absolutely 💯 loved it. Whitianga is the best. The people were very nice to talk to and helpful. We will be coming back. Thank you 😊
