The bed was comfortable & very, very warm. The shower was hot with a good stream. Our train was very late & the hostess waited for us to arrive- we were extremely grateful for that! We could also leave our bags while we looked around the town.

Great host, comfortable rooms, and beautiful patio. We got here 'by accident' because of our altitude sickness in Cusco and loved this place right from the start! It's a lot more hospitable, clean and relaxed. The staff gave us great advice and was ready to help wherever they could (laundry, money exchange, touristic places, etc). Thank you very much!

We made Ollantaytambo our home base for our Sacred Valley...
We made Ollantaytambo our home base for our Sacred Valley visit and were glad we did. It was small enough to walk everywhere, the train station, the square, the archaeological park, the original pre-colonial section of town. We visited in the low season in the last half of February and enjoyed the smaller number of visitors.

We messed up our communication and did not get tickets to Machu Picchu. Do your research and purchase tickets BEFORE you arrive…months in advance for high season. Nevertheless we toured the archeological wonders of the Sacred Valley— Temples of the sun and moon and more. It was very spiritually powerful and architecturally awe inspiring, did not feel like a consolation prize for missing MP…. Just a reason to come back. Do not miss this tour if you are hire… and hire the guide. It’s worth it. Food was great here too.

We loved this town. In total we stayed 3 nights.
We loved this town. In total we stayed 3 nights. And would've preferred to stay another night instead of returning to Cusco. The restaurants are plenty and good, the people are so nice, and the coffee shops are nice. Hiking all around, and the ruins and market are enjoyable.
Both walking everywhere is good and getting a taxi is also easy.
The host was very really helpful and friendly, she organised our transfer from Cusco to Ollantaytambo which allowed us to fully explore the important sites in the Sacred Valley on the way which was spectacular which you wouldn't see if you took the train from Cusco. The view from the top terrace in the house is unbelievable, huge mountains with Mayan rock carvings are all around you, its one of the most spectacular views from a hotel I have ever seen.
It's proximity to restaurants and the ruins of Ollantaytambo, which could be seen from our room - we could also hear the calming sound of water running through the irrigation canal from our room. The daily breakfast was good and filling. The hotel accommodated our request to arrange round-trip private transport between Cusco and Ollantaytambo that included sightseeing in Chinchero, Maras, Moray going to the hotel, and Pisac on the return to Cusco.
The employees are super friendly. We had to leave the hotel at 5 am, and since breakfast wasn't ready at that time, they had a small lunch prepared for us. We were also recommended a restaurant when we were hungry and looking for something to eat, and their recommendation was excellent: the Mawic restaurant. Overall, Ollantaytambo is a beautiful place, the people are very friendly, and it's affordable.
Staff is polite and helpful. Hotel is 10 in walk from bus station and is right at railway station which is very convenient if you go to Machu Picchu. Nearby there’re many cafes and farm with animals for free to walk. Hotel has Very nice green territory and it’s pleasant to rest at patio’s chairs. Room is clean and looks exactly like on pictures. Free water, bathrobe, hair dryer make living comfortable.
Everything at Las Qolqas is great!
Its a secluded location at the very end of the sacred valley( Ollantaytambo) giving you the opportunity to be in nature at peace.
Great place to be on a solo journey or with the family,
the staff goes above and beyond to assist with any request you might have.
The spa is lovely
Food : Farm to table / organic produce
Beautiful gardens, great ambiance.
I love that this hotel is next to the train station. I was on a DIY (Do it Yourself) journey for this second visit to Machu Picchu. The decision to stay here made my life easier as I was able to get up at 4:30 AM and walk out and into the train by 5:00 AM.
The staff was terrific. The room was quiet and spacious. A lush garden surrounds it giving my room a tranquil environment.
it’s a hidden gem of the city. Freshly renovated, new family runs hotel.
Alex ( the owner) is a very hospitable and helpful person. He gave us a lot of info about the city and the shortest way to reach the train station (10 min).
Also, one of our friend had a food poisoning and Alex helped us with giving a natural tea. it helped a lot.
We are highly recommend this place!!!
The staff were so kind and went the extra mile with every request, even helping us carry our bags to grab a tuk tuk to the train station. The location cannot be beat as it is 10meters from the entry of the Ollantaytambo ruins. The main plaza is just a minute or two walking down the road. Would absolutely recommend to anyone staying a night or two in Ollantaytambo!
Great location, just one block from the main plaza, 1 block from the Inca archaeological site, and 4 blocks from the train station. Hosts were really nice and attentive, helped us putting together a tailor made tour to the sacred valley with a private driver. The room is small but enough, the bathroom is outdated but with hot water and really clean.
The hotel is super close to the train station, 5 minutes away. So, if you choose to leave from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu early in the morning, it is a very good option. They also provide a frugal breakfast to go early in the morning.
The shower was great, good pressure & hot water.
The room was clean & offered all we needed for 1 night.
Lovely quiet hotel on the edge of Ollantaytambo. Walking distance from the train station for Machu Picchu. Comfortable bed, decent shower, and a fantastic breakfast. Biker friendly! Incredibly generous host let me leave my motorcycle and bags at the hotel for two days while I visited Machu Picchu. Amazing.
Location was excellent, central to ruins, town square and train station. Breakfast was excellent, staff always checking to see if we needed anything else. Staff was very attentive at all times. The common areas were well maintained and enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Excellent choice for Ollantaytambo, great location, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff that arranged taxis etc for us. Room might feel a bit chilly, but certainly not under the blankets. Only problem was the roosters waking you up at 5-6 am, but not the hotels fault!
Fantastic hotel in a stunning location.
Highly recommended in the Sacred valley.
We loved the rooms, the garden, the decoration. It was just great
Also, Tony prepared some home made pizzas in his stone pizza oven. They were absolutely delicious!!
We loved the beautiful garden setting and the location near the train station. The staff were very kind, especially the two men at the front desk who were very helpful with finalizing our trip to Machu Picchu.
It was convenient because it's close to the train station in Ollantaytambo. It allowed us to wake up just an hour before the train departed to go to Aguas Calientes.
The room was cozy and comfy beds.
Small, family-run hotel that’s right in the center of Ollantaytambo with clean rooms at a good value. There are small space heaters in the room which help with the cold.
We stayed at the hotel next door as this was full despite us booking a room here. But the hotel was lovely and staff were very helpful organising us transfers to Cusco.
The property is located on top of a mountain near Ollantaytambo. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, connecting you with nature on a whole new level
