The host was really nice and very caring. Always available in case of any wishes, they offered us the very best service considering cleaning, breakfast and more. Even though we arrived early they even prepared the rooms a few hours early, which we were so thankful for on a rainy day. The location is perfect, right next to the plaza, market and colectivos. You can walk to the train station to Machu Picchu.

Great host, comfortable rooms, and beautiful patio. We got here 'by accident' because of our altitude sickness in Cusco and loved this place right from the start! It's a lot more hospitable, clean and relaxed. The staff gave us great advice and was ready to help wherever they could (laundry, money exchange, touristic places, etc). Thank you very much!

Lovely quiet hotel on the edge of Ollantaytambo. Walking distance from the train station for Machu Picchu. Comfortable bed, decent shower, and a fantastic breakfast. Biker friendly! Incredibly generous host let me leave my motorcycle and bags at the hotel for two days while I visited Machu Picchu. Amazing.

We made Ollantaytambo our home base for our Sacred Valley...
We made Ollantaytambo our home base for our Sacred Valley visit and were glad we did. It was small enough to walk everywhere, the train station, the square, the archaeological park, the original pre-colonial section of town. We visited in the low season in the last half of February and enjoyed the smaller number of visitors.

We messed up our communication and did not get tickets to Machu Picchu. Do your research and purchase tickets BEFORE you arrive…months in advance for high season. Nevertheless we toured the archeological wonders of the Sacred Valley— Temples of the sun and moon and more. It was very spiritually powerful and architecturally awe inspiring, did not feel like a consolation prize for missing MP…. Just a reason to come back. Do not miss this tour if you are hire… and hire the guide. It’s worth it. Food was great here too.

We loved this town. In total we stayed 3 nights.
We loved this town. In total we stayed 3 nights. And would've preferred to stay another night instead of returning to Cusco. The restaurants are plenty and good, the people are so nice, and the coffee shops are nice. Hiking all around, and the ruins and market are enjoyable.
Both walking everywhere is good and getting a taxi is also easy.
Picaflor Tambo is in a quiet neighborhood, and a short hike to amazing ruins starts near their entrance. Diego met us at the central plaza on our arrival. Picaflor Tambo combines ancient Inca ruins with modern style and conveniences. Diego arranged tours and advised us of events, restaurants, etc. Delicious breakfast buffet was included and Diego brought a thermos of hot water and selection of teas to room nightly. We added nights to our stay because Picaflor Tambo is such a wonderful guest house, and we enjoyed Ollantaytambo so much.
The restaurant/cafe in the hotel was fantastic and the staff at the hotel were very friendly. It had a nice garden that could be seen from the room. The biggest perk is probably that the location was very convenient and secure if you were arriving and leaving by train as the entrance is inside the train station, and entry is restricted to passengers with tickets and hotel guests. There's an adjacent farm you can get a tour and lunch at; seemed like fun if you had the time for it.
every staff member was extremely warm and welcoming! they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was absolutely perfect! the food was phenomenal and was honestly the best dinner i’ve ever had! the staff picked us up and dropped us off at the train station on time and made us feel safe at all times. we felt so pampered and spoiled!! it was truly a breathtaking and spectacular experience, i cannot recommend it enough!! i would definitely book again!
The hotel was in the quiet San Isdro part of Ollantaytambo, 5-10 mins walk from the main area. Josie who ran the b&b was very friendly and her English was great. Our twin room was a little rustic but clean, with comfy beds and had the best hot shower we'd had so far in Peru. Breakfast was simple but tasty and you could spend a few sol more for an omelette. The lounge area also had hot water for tea available throughout the day.
This is the best hotel in the Sacred Valley, such a magical place! Noemi and her family are the most welcoming, helpful and kind hosts! The hotel is small and has a family vibe. Every time I was coming back, I had a feeling I was coming home. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. The rooms are huge and super comfortable. The views from the hotel are incredible! I regretted booking only for 3 nights. I can't wait to visit again!
Intitambo hotel was the perfect place to stay in Ollantaytambo! I had just finished my Inca trail so I was looking for some where comfortable and welcoming. Though I didn’t interact with the other guests much, the employees and owners of the hotel were so friendly! They helped me organize transportation and recommendations in the area. I would highly recommend staying at this family run hotel, it felt like being at home!
This is one of the most beautiful hotels i have ever stayed at in my life! Everyone was so accommodating and the rooms were so beautiful. The property is so calm and relaxing and has beautiful views. They asked us everyday what time we would like breakfast for the next morning and served eggs fruit and fresh juice, so delicious. I was so sad to leave! Definitely will be staying here next time i am back in ollantaytambo.
I can't say enough good things about this hotel! It was stunning, the views were beautiful and the breakfast was fantastic. The staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly and each one of them spoke perfect English. They'd put native speakers to shame! Ollantaytambo is one of the most peaceful, beautiful places on earth and this hotel is the perfect place to stay in it. I'll definitely be back and I highly recommend it.
Location is great! Close to the ruins, the view was amazing! Walking distance to everything. The family that owns this hotel is very sweet and made me feel welcomed and safe. They even helped me get to the train station via moto taxi very quickly due to my driver not being able to locate me. I was able to make my train to Machu Picchu. They are very accommodating and I slept great after a long day.
perfect perfect perfect
ollantaytambo is a quant authentic village filled with Incan culture. to top our visit the hotel met just that same description, the room was conformable and clean and staff extremely helpful with ideas on what to explore and the hidden treasures surrounding the village.
breakfast was lovely with plenty of food and drinks
beautiful little hotel
Ollantaytambo is a very small town but very pretty. It’s an Inca’s town with real Inca’s buildings. Hotel is very close to ollantaytambo ruins and main plaza. It’s not close to the train station you can take a moto taxi that can pick you up from hotel to train station for only 5 soles 1.20 dollars.
The location is excellent near the entrance of the ruins. The owners of the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly, providing plenty very nice and useful tips for restaurants, hiking, etc. We definitely recommend this place! The owners really made our stay one we will remember.
The hotel grounds are beautiful. We really enjoyed the sound of the water running through the facility. Breakfast was great and we also enjoyed a couple of dinners here. Close proximity to the train station and the inca ruins.
Maria was very welcoming and help us with all our requests.
The temple/fortress is super near the hotel, a 3 minutes walk.
The train station is also near (10-15 min walk or super fast in mototaxi).
A lot of restaurants nearby.
The taxi ride through the Sacred Valley was amazing. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. It is very convient to catch the train.
Location was very good for the train to Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo is a pleasant village with some interesting sights.
Hotel grounds were excellent and room was comfortable
The hotel is perfectly located near the Temple of the Sun and the Main Plaza, with a 15 minute walk to the train station. There are lots of good places to eat very near.
