A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War II. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural features are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centers than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.
You can get everywhere with public transport. I mainly used metro. If you like walking, if weather is nice, It is very nice to walk along river Wisla from the statue of the Warsaw Sirena to the Old Town. In the old town area there is a castle to see, cathedral and barbacan (old walls that were surrounding the city). If you look well, you may find the oldest in Europe electric stairs. The entire area has many nice restaurants with good food. We booked an evening Chopin concert with a glass of wine, was nice. We went also to Park Lazienkowski for a walk. We visited POLIN museum - about the history of Polish Jews. If you like massages, Warsaw has many places for it but the good ones have to be reserved few months upfront. We used with my sister a small beauty center Mastell and we were both super happy.

Warsaw is very clean & felt very safe.
Warsaw is very clean & felt very safe. There were a lot of very good museums, we visited The Polin Museum, The Cold War Museum & The Warsaw Uprising Museum, all excellent.
We also enjoyed the parks where the trees were just starting to blossom. There is a lack of atmosphere due to the city having been rebuilt & restored but you can understand why.
We found good reasonable restaurants & tried as many different Polish dishes as we could. Not enough fruit & vegetables on menus though.
The hotel was a bit of a shock. very stark & utilitarian, like Lego blocks fitted together, I hadn't appreciated that it was more budget than others I've stayed in. It felt like a hostel. Having said that breakfast was perfectly adequate & plenty of it.
We also went to a Chopin concert which was wonderful.
Overall a great trip.

Warsaw has a never-ending offering of things to see and do.
Warsaw has a never-ending offering of things to see and do. This is but one of many trips we've taken to Warsaw and will not be our last. Take the time to do your research and you can find amazing things that the typical tourist doesn't get to experience. Also make sure to double check your visit against the City's schedule of events so that you can take part in something unique or plan your trip to avoid traffic and large crowds, whatever your cup of tea is.

I love Warsaw, been many times since 1991 so seen a lot of changes. Great nightlife, culture, shopping, and wide streets. Street cafes and restaurants to watch the world go by. One of the best thing about Warsaw is the transport system, always on time, regular services and very reasonably priced. We dispensed with a car quite a few years ago and haven't found anywhere that that we can't get to on bus, tram, metro or train and no need to worry about finding somewhere to park or impatient drivers 😉. Loved it so much that we bought an apartment on NowySwiat in 2004, sadly sold it now and look forward to exploring more of Poland in the next few years.

Warsaw impressed me - a great selection of eateries.
Warsaw impressed me - a great selection of eateries. Impressive modern and old buildings in the centre. Lots of lovely parks. A reliable and cheap integrated transport service. Increasingly multi-cultural, with many foreign faces visiting and/or living in the capital. It is a bit of a lottery whether shopkeepers and railway ticket office staff are friendly or off-hand; but either way, it is manageable. Old town is great.

I loved walking around Old Town and New Town.
I loved walking around Old Town and New Town. The Polish people I've met have some kind of dry humor, but I loved it! They were very warm and friendly. I loved that it's not too busy, too. Just the right amount of travelers when I visited. I definitely loved the food too! I would recommend Warsaw especially for those who do not like a very busy town/city. Just walking around, and enjoying meeting new people, and trying out the best of their food!
The hotel itself is beautiful. The location is excellent, right near the main pedestrian area of Warsaw's old town, and also near the Warsaw1944 uprising monument.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and comfortable. The bed was very big and comfortable.
They have a very good breakfast menu with delicious dishes. You can order as much as you like l dishes from the menu. They have many options to prepare your eggs.
Staff is friendly, and they even allowed us to check in early in one of the rooms that we booked.
The breakfast was exceptional, we loved it, very hard to find a better breakfast at a hotel. Location was very good. Warsaws main train station only a short walk. Tram stop to Old Town directly out front of Hotel. There was a gym on the 31st floor (came with the room cost), that offered a fantastic view of Warsaw and a Sauna as well . Hotel was very clean and well staffed. There was also an incredible Restaurant around the corner about 200mt from the hotel, that had the best Polish food.
The room is pretty spacious. The room we booked has small table and couch. Room is clean, and quiet. they offer free bottled water during your stay. Bathroom is not skimpy. Warsaw central station is a short walk from the hotel which makes it easier to hop on a train for a day trip outside Warsaw. It is close to tram and bus stops to take you to old town. If you prefer to take taxis, there are always taxis on standby outside the hotel.the staff are super helpful.
The room was clean and well-equipped. The walk-in shower was magnificent. Having a lift to different floors was extremely useful. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and co-operative. The hotel was superbly situated, only being a couple of minutes walk into the old town and within easy reach of all the main sites and facilities. As a place to stay when visiting Warsaw, it is to be thoroughly recommended.
The staff was good, Location was exceptional because its in the middle of the city, There is a Buble Tee Shop and Asian Restaurant downstairs and a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood to choose, the prices in Poland was very cheap compare to Germany where i live. 5 minutes walking to Old Town, 10 minutes to Warsaw Train Central station and Palace of Culture and Science.
Superb location right next to the old town Warsaw. Apartment was clean, it had everything you might need for a short stay, even a fan which was helpful as it was super hot in the apartment (we traveled during the heat wave in Poland). Communication and arrangement of keys was very easy. Street parking costs 6 zlots per hour Mon-Fri 8AM til 8PM, which is not bad at all.
Excellent location for public transport and taxis. Adequate eating establishments not far from hotel. Great shower in room. Lovely views over city. Room cleaned and new towels every day. A good hotel for exploring Warsaw especially if you have no car. Bus stops either side of hotel, and proper taxis are inexpensive 17 zlt to Old Town.
The location is right at the heart of the old town. It's easy to walk around and the public transportation is excellent. The bus to warsaw chopin airport is right in front of the accommodation. The room and bed is superb. I'll definitely come here again and recommend it to my friends. The staffs are helpful and friendly too!
The loacton in the old town and the classic syle of the hotel is excellent for those whou prefer the old world charm. Outside of the old town (which was completey re-built of after the WWII from ruinds) Warsaw feels a rather inpersonal metropolis.
The location in the old town was great and the rooms for a classic double were big and airy. The pool area was relaxing and complimentary water bottles a nice touch. A quiet hotel which suited our needs… not sure facilities warranted 5 stars.
Hotel is very centrally located in Warsaw. It is very convenient to reach the old town as well as centrally-located shopping areas. Though, sometimes it is problematic to find car parking place on the street. The breakfast was very good.
The location was perfect for going to a concert at Progresja
The room was very spacious, with comfortable beds and the best pillows I've had in any place in Poland
The bathroom was clean and functional, towels provided
Best thing is the dinner in the restaurant: perfect food, nice menu choice, excellent service, all thumbs up. Breakfast is also not bad. Definitely will come back to this hotel on the way through Poland.

It was the best hostel stay i had during 2 weeks in Poland
The staff was incredibly friendly and the location was phenomenal. You have great connectivity to the entire city of Warsaw, as well as all of Poland. Great breakfast, and facilities
Nice quiet hotel with friendly staff in the heart of Warsaw. Close to transportation, bars and cafés. Best thing that it was so quiet even though it lies in the center of the city.
Location near old town of Warsaw. Good, probably even elite, building (first time see Aston Martin parked not near 5-6 Star hotel, but near our house).
