Breakfast was definitely one of the most memorable things - a wide variety of food, everything was fresh and delicious. The coffee was great and the homemade cakes (especially the fresh cheesecake and apple pie) were absolutely amazing. Location was good. The hotel is set in a green and safe area, with a peaceful atmosphere all around. There's a tram stop just a 3-minute walk away, making it easy to reach any part of the city via public transport. Central Station is about 15 minutes away, and the Old Town can be reached in 20 minutes on foot. Cleanliness was well maintained. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious—practically the same size as the room itself!

FAQs about hotels in Gdańsk

Charming Architecture And a Breath of History

Called the Amber Capital of the World, Gdańsk is the major shipping seaport and the most beautiful city along the Polish Baltic coast. It has everything from fascinating history and great architecture to a friendly atmosphere!

Also known as Danzig due to its complex past with periods of Polish, German and self-rule, the city is part of the Tricity urban area together with the port city of Gdynia and the popular spa town Sopot. It’s also a birthplace of the world-famous Solidarity movement, which helped to bring down Communist rule in Poland, initiating the end of the Cold War era.

Its charming buildings were rebuilt in a historical style after the city's near-complete destruction during World War II. You can admire the colorful townhouses of the Old Town by boat on the Motlawa River or by strolling down the popular Long Street and Long Market.

While in Gdańsk, make sure you visit the 15th-century St. Mary’s Church, the largest brick church in Europe, and make a wish at the Neptune Fountain, the city’s patron. While in town, try the legendary local Goldwasser liqueur with 22 karat gold flakes!

Whether you reach Gdańsk by train or plane, Booking.com has a variety of accommodations near the Lech Walesa Airport, the picturesque Old Town or the general city center.

Spent 4 days after having a 10-day trip, it was the last destination before returning to my country and I was tired, but it was perfect. Nice old town, I loved world war 2 museum, and enjoyed staying indoors. It rained during my visit.

Great city and once the stag parties all left on the Sunday even more enjoyable. Perhaps not as cheap as I had thought but some great pubs and restaurants. Very breezy and showery place and a must do is take a train to Sopot. You wont be dissapointed. .

We like to go to Poland to the sea, this year we wanted to experience a stay in a larger city. Gdańsk enchanted me. It is a beautiful city, with lots of nice places and interesting museums. We were here during the St. Dominic's Fair, so some places were really crowded, but on the other hand, there were more attractions.

Gdansk was a fabulous surprise. A great city to visit with beautiful streets and buildings, and a lot of history. The marina was a great place to wander down to and there are so many places to eat you are absolutely spoilt for choice.

The city is very historical with easy access to the inlets and sea. The seaside towns that are close are also a must see and I highly recommend visiting Sopot and Gdynia. There are many nice museums to see as well as boat rides around the city and bay. My only complaint would be that the Baltic Sea is pretty cold and not very comfortable to swim in. The beaches are great though and the kids will enjoy them. Also the weather is very unpredictable, but overall, I would highly recommend visiting Gdansk at some point in your life if you like to travel around Europe or the World.

For all lovers of travel Gdansk should be a must on any European bucket list. From the moment you arrive at the train station your head is on a constant swivel to take in the beautiful gothic brick architecture and your camera is almost never put away. Its a celebration and a wonder how Gdansk has overcome it's war torn years and come full circle, exhibiting it's historical past as as a wealthy merchant city of the former Hanseatic League now on full display. Its no wonder that this beautiful gem was fought over by Prussian Kings and Teutonic Overloads. Gdansk is one of my top three cities to see in Central Europe and everyone I know that visits wishes they could stay longer.

Location of the hotel is amazing - in the heart of city centre, close to main train station. Hosts were very helpful and kind. When you closed windows, it was pretty quite (taking into account the location). I liked the fact that there was a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Bathroom was spacious with all required equipment. It was clean and nice!
