Good value for money. It's simple but good enough if you are looking for an economic option. I stayed on the 3rd-floor in a 2-room, 1-bathroom area with my family and we had a good restful night. There was some noise outside, some kind of noisy machine (I don't know whether it belonged to the hotel or to some construction outside) but it stopped strictly at 10pm and then it the setting was mostly quiet even if the rooms are not soundproof.

My family has been going to this hotel for almost 40 years. I haven’t been there in 29 of those, but had so many wonderful memories. The renovations made to the hotel has kept it as one of my absolute FAVORITE. Perfect location, wood floors, so no nasty carpets, wonderful staff and the breakfast was delicious!
Can’t wait to go back!

Diogo and Big Mama are amazing and welcoming. I was fortunate to have two other women staying in the other room that I clicked with. The breakfast was also good. Diogo answered all questions and provided some excellent recommendations for fish restaurants.

Espinho is a great City but there needs to be an upgrade of abandoned properties which ruins the overall good feeling of the City. Location is great for going to Porto, Santa Maria De Feira or Carcavelos.

Great location with a wonderful beach and good views out to sea. Loved the sunrises and sunsets. Good range of quality restaurants and bars. Great for walking along the promenade and / or beach morning or evening, I especially enjoyed the quiet and peace in the mornings before breakfast. I wouldn't call it a right place for tourist.The only decent thing there is a beach. However we were missing normal amenities you would expect to find on proper beach like toilets and changing cabins,e.c. The city itself has not much to offer apart from few nice restaurants and bars.We couldn't find a single bike rent - that is ridiculous.There are no wellness centers with swimming pool,saunas,e.c. around.AleksandrLithuania - 10Scored 10
It's a relatively quiet seaside town on a main railway line...
It's a relatively quiet seaside town on a main railway line so it is easy to go into Porto if you want or indeed, take the train South to perhaps Coimbra or Lisbon. The town itself has just little shops so don't expect huge supermarkets. You will have no trouble finding all that you need.

There are lovely walks from Espinho to nearby towns via coastal boardwalks across the sand dunes, as well as the lively promenade in Espinho itself with lots of bars and cafes. It was also easy to get to Porto via the nearby train station. The cottage was homely, comfortable, spacious and light, and was well-equipped with all we needed for our stay. Elisa was a very friendly and helpful host. We would highly recommend the property.
