A small but vibrant coastal town. Nice sandy beach, lots of surfing possibilities. Ideal to discover the surroundings: Lisbon (1h), Sintra (1h), Peniche (20min), Nazaré (45min), Obidos (30min), Batalha and Alcobaça (45min). Best view: Foz Restaurante Best pizza: Pizarria Da Praia Best icecream: the aquarius bar at the beach

This is really the best place to stay in the whole area. The staff just blew us away. We were the only ones in the whole place so it was a bit different, but they gave us amazing advice, free cakes, and were just absolutely welcoming.

Excellent breakfast and evening meals available by reservation in the Hotel restaurant. The owner was brilliant in accommodating our rather large tandem bicycle and we were able to sleep easy with it at the foot of our bed.
