There was a friendly man at reception. Check in was quick and easy. Location is great. Close to groceries, restaurants and cafes. Good location for a night’s stop on the Camino.
Airy, bright, handy for the sea and for Porto. Excellent transport - metro and 500 bus round the coast with lovely views. Transport is cheap with an Andante card that you can use on both. Handy shops and restaurants.

Super family room with child bed in slightly separate wing for privacy. This hotel was ideally situated to attend the Porto U11 International Football Tournament. It was also so close to local transport links it would enable tours of old town and new, visit port outlets etc. all very easy to accomplish.

The port is an interesting look around and fish market, expect it to be a bit smelly though it’s a huge working port

We loved that we did not need to rent a car (Uber was always a few minutes away). There were many activities to do: Beach, water sports, Restaurants, Casa da Guitarra Fado show, Porto & Wine Tasting. The city is walkable and full of small interesting shops and buildings. I highly recommend Bacalhau in Muro dos Bacalhoeiros 153 - 155

I would not stay in the suites again but enjoyed the locality of the old town of Matosinhos and it’s very nice beach. There is a very moving sculpture on the beach about the tragic loss of the fishing fleet and many men from the town, during a terrible storm in the last century. There are many really good traditional restaurants with delicious traditional Portuguese food, away from the beach area. The public transport is good with Metro and bus connections to central Porto. There are many beautiful art nouveau and art deco era buildings in the town.
Great hotel, easy to find, very clean (our son had his Teddy bears and each time we arrived back to our room the teddy's were put at different positions, it made us all a big smile on the face) little detail - so valued
Breakfast always fresh and great to choice from.
Staff very friendly, communicative and always ready to help (we had special delivery to hotel, no issue, email with confirmation when recived)
Metro near by, with easy access to centre of the Porto, beach 10min away
Highly recommended
As I am vegan, the hosts went above and beyond my expectations so that my breakfast was perfect. Very welcoming and helpful with any question I had. Inserted in a residential area this small hotel is really a small gem near to everything in Matosinhos and the metro. I didn´t need it but if you come by car there's a huge parking lot right in front. Will stay again and recommend to anyone that is on a budget but likes great comfort and service!
Great hospitality and accommodations nestled in a small city by the sea and a beach that goes for miles. The hotel has bikes you can use to ride down the ocean boardwalk. Ivo was very helpful in helping us experience everything including the restaurants that serve fresh seafood and local specialties. The hotel is only 15 minutes out of Porto by tram that comes directly in front of the hotel. It's perfect!. We loved it!.
Great house! even there is a shared kitchen with everything you need (including baby chair on dinner room), There is a lot of places for breakfast or lunch very close. The Matosinhos beach is very close, you can reach it by foot. There super markets near also. Have everything you need specially if you are traveling as a family with a baby. We took the room with private bathroom and it was great!
The room has three beds and we like that one of the beds is separated from the other two, which is convenient for a family with a little kid.
The staff from the hotel are very helpful and kind.
The location is fantastic. It is close to everything. There is a park for kids to play if you walk 5 mins from the hotel. There are some big supermarkets and some restaurants nearby.
The location was perfect for our visit to the Casa de Cha (reason we chose this hotel), as well as being just a short trip into Porto. We loved the modern interior with large and wonderfully comfortable beds. We appreciated the rain shower, and were very grateful for the coffee/tea facilities (which does not yet seem to be common in Portugal).
Small, family run hotel that was an excellent value.
It can be hard to find places with air conditioning was happy that there was air con in my room.
Small single room was well appointed and had everything I needed.
The entire staff was super kind and friendly.
Close to public transportation.
I spent over a week at My Trip Porto. For starters, the undoubted advantages. The hotel is located 50 meters from the metro station, from where you can take one of the two lines to Bolhao station in the center of Porto in half an hour. Very nice service, Sofia, thank you for your help and all the tips.
Such a lovely house which felt homely, clean and comfortable. The pool was such a treat at the end of the day. Matosinhos was a perfect distance from Porto and transport links were amazing, so many restaurants and bars nearby too that Ivo recommended.
Perfect place to stay. Host are absolutely awseome person, food was delicios. This is the best place to stay around ocean in Matosinhos or if you want to spend time in Porto because there's very good web of connections via bus or metro.
Room was large and clean with a balcony view of ocean. I’m walking the Camino and the hotel is across the street from the path. Good restaurant steps away. Owner of hotel was SUPER NICE. I sat on the beach and watched the sunset.
The room was a clean and upper floor. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options, fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel. A lot of groceries stories and restaurants just in the corner of the hotel.
Loved the location close to the beach, promenade and the 500 bus that goes to downtown Porto. Matosinhos also had some interesting spots. The room had a great kitchen that allowed me to cook a lot myself.
Great location, lovely family house, tastefully restored and decorated. Comfortable room. Friendly and attentive host, very nice breakfast served in the restaurant. Excellent place to stay in Matosinhos.
Great little hotel, fantastic owners who were very helpful. Great rooms in a beautiful old building. A short walk to beautiful beach.
I would definitely stay again.
