The hostel has a lot of lounging spaces and is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is fairly well equipped. The half shaded terrace is really nice for relaxing or a meal between/after surfing. And the living room is great for late night. There are many affordable food places in Ferrel town nearby within walking distance.

The true atmosphere you expect to meet at a surf camp. The rooms were nice and clean, the ocean is 2 min walking. Luis is the greatest host, wish him the nicest guests:)

We had an incredible time during our stay at this apartment. The view from the place is simply breathtaking, and the fact that the beach is just a 2-minute walk away made our stay even more special. Even in October, the house maintained a comfortable warmth and was never humid. The apartment is spacious and flooded with natural light, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
One of the standout features was the kitchen, which was fantastically well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It made our stay so convenient. The bathroom was spotless, modern, and completely free from any unpleasant odors.
The hosts were truly wonderful – caring and welcoming people who made our stay even more enjoyable. We fell in love with this place, and we're already eagerly looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

Great hostel. Super friendly owners. Nice atmosfere. Big kitchen. I had an amazing time with Paulo and Maura. I will be returning for sure
I could easily live here. The town is small and modern and not one of the historic venues that Porto or Lissabon offers but it has all the amenities that one can possibly look for. The relaxed surfing attitude and the pristine beaches make this a delight to visit. Our objective had just been to visit the beach as we reside in a land locked country and this place could not have been more perfect. The surf was a delight to watch and the air and beaches were clean. The people are friendly and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed.

I went to Baleal with the intention of surfing, and I could surf multiple times a day with some great waves. A week was too short. Keep in mind, I was in Baleal in January. The average air temp was 15c and the sea temp was 16.
It was quiet in the ocean and I could surf almost alone during the day. At the end of the day, after 4 PM the locals head into the water.
Perfect week in January for a surf-get-away.
I was told it is good and quiet until the end of April. It is too busy with surf camps /schools during summer.
Food tip: El Chilitio's! is 8 min a walk from the hostel. Great Mexican food and affordable.
Next to the hostel, there is a little supermarket. It is on the expensive side, but not too crazy.

Very nice place to spend one-two days in the complete calm without the sign of civilisation) Few cafes, restaurants, we found only one shop with pesto for 7.5 eur😬
If you’re going there by car it’s perfect, otherwise you need to have a taxi, never saw a public transport there.
In love with the dunes (wide line!), November waves and a bit melancholic mood.

Fo people who like to surf and love the ocean and steep cliffs this area is just perfect. And the food is also awesome but most of the time you need to make a reservation in the restaurants, if you don't like to wait for a table.

One can find several restaurants or snacks, often overlooking the ocean.

The beach and the water/view was fantastic...a piece of heaven. Baleal "island" is surrounded by cliffs and rocks but wonderful crashing waves. It is a beach area but has decent restaurants within a short walk. Get an apartment there with a view.
If you are looking for an alternative to a larger hotel or camping/ hostel/ airbnb with a family, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's not fancy. Valentina made our trip perfect by helping us choose a great surfing school for our kids and giving us detailed and spot on recommendations with the swipe of her google pins. She told us the best spots for seafood, hiking,, best tips for pizza and surfing school and a trip to obidos. She helped us when we had a flat tire! In short a guardian travel angel.
This was our second perfect stay at Perfect Shore. Alex and Clare are the most welcoming, informative and helpful hosts. Their guesthouse is aesthetically and thoughtfully decorated and absolutely immaculate. Our room was spacious and attractive and the most comfortable bed of our many stops on this trip to Portugal. We really appreciate the large and fully equipped communal kitchen. We love the surrounding neighborhood. Wonderful restaurants and pastelerias are a short walk away. Can’t wait to return!
This is a very small and quite hostel.
If you prefer alco-surfing you’d better choose another one.
There are only 3 double rooms and 6-place dorm.
The outstanding thing about it is its cleanness. The kitchen, the bathrooms, the common are super clean.
The owner and the volunteers are very kind and friendly.
Supermarket is 3 min walk. Laundry service is 15 min walk. 2 rentals are 5 min walk. All beaches are walking distance.
YEY Baleal is perfectly located - close to all the local surf breaks (right on beautiful Gigi), eateries and amenities. We had a room with a sea view and it was lovely to sit out on the balcony and listen to the sea. Breakfast was included and there were lots of options. Plus the team were extremely friendly, responsive and helpful.
Baleal is very nice place, with dunes, full of surfers, with its own mood. In Surf House was very easy going atmosphere, was cute to find on a kitchen some hand/home made things as verbena for example, really lovely! We went there from Peniche, just be aware that without your own car/taxi it’s not possible to go there.
The location is perfect. Couldn’t have got closer to the beach! The staff/owners were very helpful and friendly, they had soft-top surfboards you could use and the breakfast was beautiful - a selection of everything - fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, meats, cheese, bread and even hot pasteis de natas!
The hotel was very affordable compared to the other places around the area. It was not a surf hotel, necessarily, but offered surfboard and wetsuit rentals that allowed me to go surfing in the morning. It seems like a family-run hotel. The receptionists were very friendly.
Very nice Hotel were the price fits for what u get! The only place on my portugal trip were i didnt want to move after one night! Family owned. Very good breakfast! Simple but the quality was very high and the essential things are there!
a great experience. although i traveled alone, i felt like i was at home with my friends. Luis is great! We surfed, we skated, we had dinner together! I recommend everyone to go to him if you are in Baleal, Peniche.
Super clean, homy and relaxing little guest house with 8 beds in 2 cozy dorm rooms.
The decoration is beautiful with wood and a super pretty terrace, 15mns walk to the beach.
Everything was perfect!
The location was perfect distance from the beach and close to the town. Everything is cleaned and Hygenic. Staff are always willing to help and people treat you like family!
Perfect location near the beaches at Baleal, wonderful hotel, very clean, well designed, great very helpful staff, god breakfast, everything just perfect!
