I really liked the convenience of the location. I didn't have to go through security or leave the airport at all. I had a 7 hour layover in the middle of the night so it was so much better than staying up all night. The room was super clean and I liked that you could select different types of lighting. The room was tiny, but adequate.

I stayed at this hotel and was incredibly disappointed by the rude and unprofessional staff. They were dismissive and unhelpful, making my stay very unpleasant. The housekeeping was even worse - my room was dirty, with hair in the bathroom and crumbs on the floor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendor and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.
Take a stroll through the historic center or the busy Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.
If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.
Getting to Istanbul is an easy trip from Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel on the Asian side or a budget hostel in Taksim Square, Booking.com has over 1,000 great accommodations for a vacation in Istanbul.
This trip has been a dream come true for us. I’ve been drawn to Istanbul’s culture in the past decade and finally making it there was so easy! We took a direct flight from IAD to IST via Turkish Airlines and booked our hotel via Booking.com, based on ratings, and that worked well for us.
We chose the area of Sultanahmet, being its where most historic tourist attractions are located.
The furthest attractions from our hotel was 20 minute walk away, so we pretty much visited everything on foot. In just a couple of days, one can see and visit the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, the spice Bazaar, eat amazing food, drink lots of Turkish coffee and tea, try unique Turkish delight you haven’t seen outside Turkey, and shop until you drop, especially rugs, jewelry, pottery, spices and teas.
I’m happy to say our first experience in the city surpassed our expectations and we can’t wait to go back and see more of it!

Consider visiting the Old area first.
Consider visiting the Old area first. Main attractions like Hagia Sophia (although you have access only at the top floor), Basilica Cistern (it's a must!), Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque etc.
Try eating at local restaurants that serve mainly Turkish food.
Try having a coffee on the Bosphorus (maybe choose a high end location like Ciragan Kempinski that allows to dine in all day on the terrace).
Visit the Grand Bazaar, but be aware of scams.

Agiya Sofia mosque, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, cisterns...
Agiya Sofia mosque, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, cisterns... all within a few minutes of each other and all fabulous. Ladies - when entering mosques be sure and take head covering with you and men, if you are wearing shorts you will be given a cover-up. They have made a lovely space between the mosques with grass, fountains and plentiful seating. We also visited the Grand Bazaar which is massive and very crowded... then walked down to the harbour front to see the Spice Bazaar which was the same but lots to buy. Then we walked across the bride to the Asian side which was fun. Also recommend the 2-hour Bosphorous river cruise (although it is hard to hear the commentary with everyone talking!) Go beyond the immediate area to get food as many of the restaurants have identical tourist menus.
This wonderful small family run hotel is located in the perfect location to explore and enjoy Istanbul. Arthur (the owner) is a perfect host. The hotel is a short walk from the metro station in Taksim Square which provides access to pretty much all the main tourist attractions in the city. The rooms are a nice size with a bar area. Arthur provided great recommendations for everything, from restaurants to tourist attractions to a great laundry service. After five days, our family felt like Arthur and the rest of the staff were family.
First of all, the location of the hotel is very good, it is close to Taksim Square, from which public transport runs in any direction, including buses from both Gokcen and Istanbul airports. The room is quite big and clean. The only inconvenience was that we didn't have a closet. the staff was very attentive and pleasant. Thank them for that. The street where the hotel is located is full of very good cafes with live music until the morning, so we didn't have to look far for entertainment.
Everything was perfect, our stay at the element garden was one of the best things in our trip , the location is awesome in a calm street few minutes walk from Taksim square , rooms very clean with the necessary equipment we even cooked there and could eat in the hotel’s garden , the staff were extremely nice and helpful especially Ella who was preparing very good breakfasts and was extremely nice , I recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Istanbul
Group of 10 women travelling in a group for a short get a way in Istanbul having never been there before. The hotel was so helpful. Organised our taxi from the airport, guided tour of Sultanahmet sites, a boat trip on the Bosphorus and a hammam spa too.
The best breakfast we have ever eaten. Served outside on their small terrace.
Thanks for being fantasic hosts. Will always recommend Hotel Poem to anyone who wants to stay in the Sultanahmet area.
Everything was great at the hotel, the location is great just few steps away from Taksim Square, the staff is amazing & very friendly , very helpy, the room is spacious, the lobby is huge & luxury, they have amazing Terrace & wonderful rooftop bar & restaurant in floor 27 with amazing view of bosphorus & Taksim Square
They are very professional in dealing I broke accidentally glass of water & they refused to charge me
I highly recommend it
The hotel staff was very accommodating for our late check-in time-- we got to the hotel after midnight. The hotel also arranged us taxi transport to the Istanbul airport for a very early flight the following morning. Very kind management. Despite the hotel's location adjacent to Taksim Square, it's on a quiet side street, so I did not encounter any issues with outside noise. Room was very clean, and bed was comfortable!
I loved this hotel, which is 5 minutes walking distance from Taksim Square. The staff is very polite and helpful. The best part is that it is a family business. Next time I come to Istanbul, I will definitely stay in this hotel with my family. It was very clean and nice. Thank you very much to Mr. Gökhan and Mr. Orhan who helped with everything.
Great location with amazing staff that helped us to get amazing stay in Istanbul!!
Stayed in the room with the private hamam - recommended.
In the lobby there is coffee machine 24/7 and cool patio for the smokers.
This hotel have perfect location: 1 minute from Istiklal street, 15 from Galata tower and 5 from Taksim square.
very recommended!!!
It's an amazing hotel !
Great value for money. The location is very good, it's very close to Taksim square 2 minutes only and the tram stop and metro station.
team are super friendly and helpful especially Ms.Naema and Mr.Abde .
The breakfast is good and multi.
I will definitely stay here again for my next trip in Istanbul.
Amazing location, just next to Taksim square. Room is newly furbished and very clean. Very close to bus shuttles which go to airport, also close to Istanbul metro. Hotel staff was also friendly and helpful. If you are in Istanbul for couple of days and looking for a central hotel just to sleep, perfect choice.
The Best hotel in Istanbul for medium budget, very professional and friendly staff, clean and cozy place with a very good space. 3 mins walk from taksim square.
On checkout I forgot a camera and some electronics in the suite, the honest owner kept them until I went took them back👌🏻.
Fantastic rooms, best boutique hotel in Istanbul. Views to die for and breakfast of a 5 star level.
Staff are super friendly and always will help with anything at all. Would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you Ahmed and Doruk Palas for an amazing stay. Will remember for a long time.

It's a great place to stay in Istanbul.staffs are very helpful and friendly. metro station and bus station and taksim square is 5 min walking. you will love this place. It's worth your money and time.great facilities with cheap price. i will definitely recommend this hotel.
This stay was an emergency stay because of 1st May. Our main hotel was at Taksim square, the centre of Istanbul. Because of the 1st May celebrations the centre was closed so we were forced to search for a hotel close to the airport. Location is 20 minutes from airport.

Excellent hotel near Istanbul Airport. Clean hotel, all the amenities available. Friendly staff. Very new rooms. Great view. I really recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to stay near airport. They also arrange airport transfer with big van.
Room is a little bit small (economy room) but the staff and service it was amazing, and the location of the hotel is near by Taksim square (2 minutes walk).
Overall nice experience, when I come back to Istanbul I will book same hotel 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The best bed I slept in istanbul. spent nights at different supposed 5 star hotels, only this had a decent bed to sleep in. others their bed was too soft. supermarket was right behind and close to wide variety of restaurants
It is 2-3 min away from Taksim square.
The staff are really kind and good.
It is a really good hotel to stay in istanbul if you are looking for a hotel to just have a breakfast and sleep in it.
