I loved that the hotel was conveniently located right in front of Taipei Main Station, making it easy to travel anywhere in the city. Ximending was also just a short walk away, which was perfect for shopping and exploring. The building itself had a Family Mart and a mall, which made grabbing essentials and snacks super easy. I also enjoyed the variety of shops and restaurants just behind the building, offering plenty of dining options within walking distance.

FAQs about hotels in Taipei

The Undiscovered Asian Capital

Capital of the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan), huge Taipei is surrounded by mountains. Taipei 101, once the world’s tallest building, dominates its skyline from Xinyi, an area known for the most active nightlife.

At Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall the national flag is raised every morning and the guard changed every hour. Less known for tourists is National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, containing a tall bronze statue of the country’s founding father.

Taipei has tons of museums, but the best are Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines and the National Palace Museum – one of world’s largest collections of Chinese artifacts. Even more numerous are the temples dedicated to Buddhist, Taoist and Chinese folk religions. Xinsheng South Road is nicknamed "Road to Heaven" for its sheer number, but most famous is Longshan Temple in Wanhua, the oldest district.

Taipei shopping is fantastic and includes Core Pacific Living Mall, supposedly Asia’s largest. The Ximending area has lots of shops (and karaoke), while the Shilin Night Market should not be missed. For a break from the bustle head to central Daan Forest Park, the botanical gardens with its lotus ponds,or Yangmingshan National Park, known for hot spring baths and spring cherry blossom.

Whether you fly into Songshan or Taiwan Taoyuan Airport, the well connected public transportation system can take you to any Taipei hotel on Booking.com.

Taipei is wonderful! So much to see, do, eat and buy! The only thing I would change is probably not go in the hottest time of the year end of July to August. Public transportation is fantastic. Super easy, affordable and clean.

I have no idea why this city is the 20th most visited city in the world. I was planning on spending time traveling the entire country, but tossed that plan and flew to Korea after only a few days. I was there in July (not ideal weather, hot and rainy) so I don't feel like I got the best experience possible. My opinion, in a word: Overated.

July is very hot and humid so planning each day requires some thought. There are good museums (with air con) as well as interesting old parts of the city. A great shop for buying oolong tea. The botanical gardens are an oasis of calm. Unlimited opportunities to find interesting food (as well as "western food" like sandwiches and burghers). Opportunities for out of town excursions (like Pinglin)

I took a one-day train rides round the Taiwan, it took me about 14 hours. Getting on from Songshan station, taking off at Kaohsiung, heading to Taidong and Hualien, and back to Songshan. You can take a sea route train, slower but more things to see. Love the Pacific Ocean!

Personally faces a lot of bad experiences in Taipei especially in Taipei Hospital when I went for a emergency treatment. As a tourist in a wheelchair none of the employees in hospital assist me for the treatment to until to taxi I booked after my treatment. Rough handling with patients and I even saw the nurses screaming and scolding. Very surprised to see frontlines behaving such to the public.

Strategically located above the Q Square Shopping Centre. Look for Exit [Y3] or [Y5] if you go from Taipei Main Station. Hotel's reception is near the building's car park entrance. I'm from Japan, so to me the room was reasonably spacious, with large comfortable bed and quiet atmosphere at night. Managed to get a good night sleep. Nice shower too. There's a balcony and a washing machine and drying area, but they couldn't provide any washing detergent, so you might need to bring your own if you want to do laundry.

Hotel location is the best, just a few steps from Ximen metro. I can see the hotel building easily from Ximending. The breakfast is good (not that much western food but lots of Asian food). The room has everything that you will need. I feel very safe like sleep in my own home. Good place for relaxing from a day trip in Taipei. Also, the bathtab with hot water is so comfortable. Good place to come with old people. There are elevator and escalator.

There is free laundry services and a spacious lounge area to chill out. There is free coffee, tea or light tibits. Children will love this hotel, as there is a play room for host them!
