I did not do the breakfast. Quiet, pleasant location. The room was a good size and the shower was modern and nice.
The front desk guy was very professional. He checked us in and was also working a shift when we checked out the next morning. I had forgotten something in the room and he was able to quickly resolve my issue (I had already turned my key in). I really appreciated his helpful attitude. Wish I knew his name--really should be given a raise or considered for a promotion.

Great Valet staff, particularly Everett Romero. Also, one very good waiter at dinner, Landon. The Spa masseuses were very good too. We enjoyed sitting on the quiet balcony of our room.

The drive up from Santa Fe and the view of the Rio Grande gorge was exquisite. The church of San Francisco de Asis is a beautiful example of Spanish Mission style adobe churches and the people of the community are wonderful, welcoming, and pleasant. Five Star burgers had great food and a good selection of local beers.

The staff is excellent. Room was charming and comfortable. Well, maintained. The breakfast is one of the best we've ever had. They had tamales! The salsa was fresh and tasty. Cookies chips and salsa in the afternoon in the lobby. On site laundry. Taos is easy to get around and they have an excellent public library.

Taos is currently working on their Plaza.
Taos is currently working on their Plaza. I’m looking forward to that project being completed. Around the Plaza the Gorge and the Alley Cantina are both great places to eat and drink. The trip to Rancho de Taos is mandatory. Not only for the beautiful church but for the restaurant in the plaza behind the church. The Ranchos Plaza Grill is fantastic!! Their hours are kinda weird so check before going.

Slightly too touristy for my liking, but with some lovely walks when you drive to them; well worth to go to the Rio GRande gorge walks and also see the bridge and walk across it; Taos pueblo is always worth a visit and to do a tour there; this time we did the enchanted circle drive, very stunnng scenery.
Taos centre is ok for a coffee, but I would avoid it mainly
Super adorable concept - I'm so glad that I found it before I booked a traditional hotel! The campers each had their own personality, and it was an added bonus that they have a fully functioning kitchen inside. I was pretty bummed by limited the opportunities for fun were in Taos (I guess due to COVID? but it really didn't seem to have much even if everything were open), so I went to the grocery store, got some food and drinks, and made a night of it in my camper. What an experience!
I didn’t have Breakfast because I hand to start work at 8:30AM. The Room book showed Breakfast started at 8:00AM but I was told by the host it was 8:30AM. Personally I think Breakfast should start by 7:00 to 7:30AM. A lot of people hit the road earlier than 8:30. I left the property at 7:00AM and had looked up a few local breakfast restaurants that showed they were open but as I found out, that wasn’t the case upon arrival.(not the hotel’s faults). I ended up at Sonic for Breakfast.
The location is great, within walking distance to galleries, shopping and restaurants. The inn gives you a very authentic feel of Taos. The owners make you feel welcome, plus they have such a family history in Taos. They truly care about the community.
The breakfasts were delicious, and the dining area is beautiful with the artwork and the table attire.
We were skiing at Taos, and the drive was easy, we were able to get back early enough to enjoy the Town.
I would stay again. The hotel restaurant breakfast and staff were spot on. The room was large enough for three full grown males (three bed room). The location was good. Not in town center, but that was not our destination, we were fly fishing and the Taos Fly Shop was near by as well as a walmart and other stores. Plus plenty of restaurants.
Clean and quiet, large rooms within walking distance to restaurants and the Taos Plaza. Excellent staff who answered all our questions and handed out free water and snacks since there was no breakfast available due to Covid-19. Responsive to all our needs. Very nice renovations going on. Great value. Pet friendly.
Breakfast was incredible. It was everything I could've wanted from a hotel breakfast and more. All of our rooms came with a fireplace, wood, fire starter, and a kitchenette. It was freezing outside when we went so a fireplace was exactly what I wanted. I 100% will be back next time in Taos!
Love the Taos La Fonda Our heater didn’t work when we first arrived which was worrisome. The very nice staff couldn’t get it going and brought us a space heater. The heater did finally start working. That was the only inconvenience in an otherwise great stay.
The hotel could be interesting, if it were clean and maintained properly and you could attract a little better clientele. When you do maintenance on the rooms, put in good shower heads and don't just slop on the tile grout to fill large spaces missing tiles.
Clean spacious hotel room with a great bed. Staff at reception especially Susie at check-in were very helpful. Overall a nice place to stay for a night or 2. I prefer apartments but was in town for a wedding so it suited our purposes.
the location was perfect for walking into Taos. The staff were friendly in the restaurant and reception and there was live music playing in the bar as well.
we also received an upgrade on our room which was a lovely gesture.
Loved the quiet, yet central location, the made-to-order breakfasts, the kind staff and the cozy room with fireplace ready to light! The bed was very comfortable and the entire inn felt like a home rather than a hotel.
Loved this beautiful hotel. Excellent location. Within walking distance to all the Taos sights. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay there again!
