Check in was easy and quick. Our bed was large and comfy. It was very simple with the essentials but overall has some room for improvement for maintenance and upkeep. For the value and location, we were happy with our stay

I really liked the floor plan and while it was just the wife, the dog and I, it would easily accommodate the 5 people advertised. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a wow factor when you first open the door and see how nice it is inside. My wife wanted to see the Pacific ocean once again and it was less than a 10 minute drive to see the beach and hear the waves. Westport has some beach access to drive alongside and watch the tide shifts The owner lives on the property in the neighboring building, so if there were any issues or concerns, I am confident he would solve or provide a solution. There are many stories on Air B&B of owner rules and unwelcome oversite, but that is not then vibe here. As his property description details, he has horses, donkeys and goats next door and added a sense of rural living Phil welcomed and encouraged feeding them a snack or dinner that he provides if you coordinate with him. The ducks were a hoot and how they marched in unison and had their curiosity to feed and check out their surroundings. The fully fenced in yard was a big plus when you are visiting with your fur babies

The house is very nice, clean, and beautifully maintained. The host is polite and even makes delicious homemade yogurt for breakfast, which was a lovely touch. The property is also extremely dog-friendly — a perfect stay if you’re traveling with a pet. That said, there are quite a few house rules (like keeping bathroom doors open, not placing items on certain surfaces, etc.) that made me a bit anxious, especially with kids who might forget. Also there is no privacy since its a shared home. Since this is also the host’s private home, we found ourselves waking up early when breakfast was being prepared for us before 7 AM. Sharing a space with the host felt a bit like visiting a distant relative — polite but not entirely relaxed — so while we appreciated the experience, it wasn’t the right fit for our family and we likely wouldn’t book a shared stay again. Still, if you’re looking for a very clean, peaceful, and pet-friendly place, this home has a lot to offer.
