The hotel was very clean and well appointed. Our room was basically like a suite with a separate seating area with a television. We had bottle of water waiting for us and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was beyond any expectations and had plenty of options and delicious food!

Lovely scenery Garden of the Gods was well worth the visit

Lovely scenery Garden of the Gods was well worth the visit We enjoyed visiting The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park which was a beautiful old building .Great bar atmosphere and service with very nice food. The old gold mines were worth the drive up through the mountains. Manitou springs was super! Some nice eating places by the river and quaint little shops.to wander around.

Colorado Springs has a great Zoo, as well as other places to hike besides Garden of the Gods. Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs are so much fun for an afternoon of shopping and trying some great food. There are some fun thrift stores, as well as other shopping throughout the city. You would need a good 5 days to see everything, and that does not include venturing out to Pike's Peak and/or Cripple Creek.

    I loved the sight seeing.

I loved the sight seeing. We didn't reserve a rental car in time so we had to use a taxi which added up and got a little pricey. But our driver with ZTrip ( Jason) was great! The Garden of the Gods was beautiful and amazing. We ate inside an airplane which was awesome! The food was good, not gourmet , but if I lived close I'd eat there often. Kids will like the food. Plenty of dispensaries around the area. Montiou springs was awesome too , we saw the dwellings. Seven Falls was beautiful! Restaurants expensive but the trout was delicious. It's a little less than a mile walk from the entrance to the restaurant (1858) , but they provide a complimentary golf cart ride. Call and make reservations. ( We didn't get our reservations but we were able to sit at the bar).

The mountain is awesome but it costs too much to just enter.

The mountain is awesome but it costs too much to just enter. The garden of the gods is definitely worth seeing and hiking. Two days was plenty of time for me, but I can see staying three. The weather was spectacular. We got the donuts at the top, but I didn't feel like they met the expectations they present to you in travel guides. Totally get prepared for a snowball fight at the top. You will need a jacket and maybe some gloves at the top. We dropped it on the North Pole as well. It's cute for little ones.

We loved the Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs, where we visited Pikes Peak via the Cog Railway - the only negative was the shockingly high car-parking charges in Manitou Springs - certainly not encouraging visitors to stay and check out the numerous shops and eating places. Would recommend Atomic Cowboy for food - the pizza slices were amazing, with a very helpful and attentive young lady serving us and offering recommendations for drinks and food.

Colorado Springs offers so many things to see and do; Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, many museums, galleries, Pikes Peak Center, Colorado College, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS), xeriscape gardens, military installations US Olympic and Para Olympic museum, professional soccer venue for the Switchbacks and so much more. Diverse restaurant and bar options! Do not miss the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I would caution visitors to be aware of their surroundings. As with any cities, there are areas where you might not want to walk in the evening.

OK - so let me put it first - I don't normally stay in hostels and very much prefer motels/hotels and the like - which give you more privacy and anonymity, and better standard. I believe for a hostel this is good. Technically, there is a comfortable bed, parking space, I stayed in private room (there are dorms too). But still, this is not very nice standard.
