Me and my wife are hikers and Cornelia places us within 45 minutes of the best hiking in the state of Georgia in any direction. Cornelia is a very friendly town because wherever we went we were treated with courtesy and a smile...love that mountain charm. We have stayed in Cornelia before and we will certainly be back again. We stayed here as a relocation from another hotel, so not intentional, but the staff was great in helping us get settled with what we needed. They did not have a room with 2 beds, which is what we needed, but called and let us know that before checking in. Due to tight bookings in the area, we had to accept the room with one bed. This hotel was one of the last available for the weekend. It has a Mexican restaurant just a few yards away and Starbucks less than a half mile.
