Homer is great for fisherman.
Homer is great for fisherman. We also took a seaplane into Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks. We spent 4 nights and it was perfect. Highly recommend the Kannery for dinner. Small fishing village : would be a day trip , not a 3 day stay but the hikes and water activities kept us busy . Easy way around the main strip . We took a water taxi over to the other side of the bay to hike . This area is very expensive due to the fact that it is so far away from the rest of the world . Great area. Plan ahead. We did the Saltry which is an informative boat ride to a remote restaurant for lunch and a full day fishing charter w North Country Charters on The Tuff Stuff. I've been here lots of times, which speaks for itself. The whole town atmosphere is welcoming. It's just a nice little town. I love the Spit area. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't. I got my exercise walking up and down the trail that runs most of the length of the Spit. I look forward to eating at La Baleine. I love the Salmon Sister's shops. I love the beach for just walking along it and watching for sea life and beach combing. And the sunsets can be so amazing.Guest review byLindaUnited States

The room was very comfortable and clean. Our host Lori was very friendly and gave us a lot of information on Homer and places to see and where to eat.
