Though an older property, it is being upgraded, and for a family or active older couple, ticks all the boxes - comfy beds/pillows, good AC, quiet, plenty of entrances to get you close to your room, a lovely large deck overlooking the lake/mountains, parking, WIFI, and a truly authentic "Colorado Mountain" breakfast. The Elk Jerky Green Chili is fabulous, and there are so many options - yogurt, cereals, oatmeal with toppings, breads, Naan, Pita, hard boiled eggs, fruit, salsas......people complaining about "traditional" breakfast should just stay home or check out the local McDonalds. There are washers and dryers, an arcade room, a computer with functioning printer, and lots of board games. The lobby has a round fireplace, and the deck has a fire pit and tables to eat breakfast at, should you wish. Yes, there is some dirt/pine needles near the doors....it is the mountains, and people are out hiking, etc. This is a resort area, so expect higher prices during summer/fall at ALL properties. Staff was super helpful. They will clean your room IF requested. Across the street is a pizza place and liquor store - the other direction is an ACE Hardware. Safeway and gas is also close by and probably a drive of 5 minutes gets you to the heart of Estes Park.

We originally had reservations at an establishment 1/4 mile down the road. We were not happy with 2 of their rooms, so we requested a refund and rebooked with Best Western. It was a much nicer room, but more than anything, it was CLEAN! Thank you for providing an excellent stay. Keep all your staff well compensated/rewarded and keep them!

    This town is adorable!

This town is adorable! It is so picturesque with a river running through it. Lots of restaurants, shops and activities. Go up to Prospect mountain via the tram, check out The Stanley hotel and of course, visit Rocky Mountain national park!

We loved this cute town tucked away in the Rocky Mountains.

We loved this cute town tucked away in the Rocky Mountains. We loved seeing the Elk walking around. We loved eating breakfast at the Egg in town. It was an easy drive from Denver. We loved walking around Estes Lake and Bear Lake. We took a 12 day tour into the mountains and loved it!

How can one not like a place situated in the most beautiful...

How can one not like a place situated in the most beautiful scenery in the world? The sound of the rivers, the height of the mountains. We ate a "You Need Pie" once. It was wonderful. The many stores allow for an afternoon of wandering and deciding of what flavor ice cream to eat. Estes Park has streamlined traffic flow making it quite easy to navigate. The Park provides the wonders of nature of any urbanite to absorb.

    Estes Park was cute.

Estes Park was cute. It was your typical gift shops and restaurants. I was here to go to Rocky Mountain National Park. I did walk around the town for about an hour but quickly grew tired of the gift shops all selling the same things.

We enjoyed the town of Estes we did hang out at the cabin more than we usually would due to the beautiful property and all the special details such as the hummingbirds and other wildlife, also Aaron who manages Estes Lake Lodge is a great weath of knowledge with the town of Estes and the surrounding other mountains and towns! We went up to RMNP and enjoyed Estes lake during our trip, also enjoyed hiking down to the cool waters of Big Thompspn River.

The location was great! A short drive to Estes Park. The best part were the incredible views from anywhere in the house!! The house was very well supplied with soap, paper products and linens! The kitchen also had everything needed! The beds were OK but everything else superb! There was great living space upstairs and in the lower level with great decks and patios!
