PS has improved since my last visit, COVID is in the rearview mirror and the town is alive again! The homeless situation is very much improved! The Zoo is a must-see as well as the Air Museum! Don't forget to visit the reservation for some great hikes and hopeful big-horn sheep sitings! And don't forget the tram!

Famous Palm Springs seems now to be more of a typical mass...
Famous Palm Springs seems now to be more of a typical mass market tourist town, with 2 major, long streets that include many big & small shops, restaurants, bars/clubs, & a 3rd side street that also has some of same but is more run-down & busy with 'drive-thru' local traffic & many condo complexes, some of which look somewhat 'run-down'.
Still, PS is luckily located right below a moderatly high series of desert mtn peaks which makes for a 'different', scenic Backdrop. While there could be even more semi-tropical Flowering plants placed downtown, there are certain areas where they stand out, making for some incredible visit-Pics. Other than a Casino& hotel complex a block or two away from downtown, the rest of PS seems old & run-down, but, now old desert towns tend to look that way.
Also, there are some other interesting, and even more upscale/modern towns just 4-5 miles south along Palm Canyon Dr. (or hwy 111), that are worth visiting or staying in (though usually at higher cost).

Loved the vintage vibe and history of the hotel.
Loved the vintage vibe and history of the hotel. Very clean. Alex takes care of everything from checkin to maintenance. Very efficient. Appreciated pet policy being that it is such a small common space. Place could use new towels and linens. However the size of the bungalos made up for it. Really enjoyed our stay and would def consider staying again.

We love Palm Springs and have stayed at several properties...
We love Palm Springs and have stayed at several properties there, but after our stay in the (glorious) Ricardo Suite at the Velvet Rope we have a vacation home to return to from now on. David Rios who designed all the suites and was our host, plus Kevin and Jeffery were as warm and accommodating as can be! We were delighted with every aspect of the hotel (touring many other suites there was also a visual treat), terrific pool deck, and we look forward to our return!!
We really enjoyed this hotel! The property was private and very well kept. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The pool area was great to hang out at during the day (it was 100 degrees when we were there). Parking lot was convenient and free to park which was a plus. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel is about a mile walk or $8-$10 uber from where the action starts in downtown Palm Springs (we wish it was a little closer since it was way too hot to walk during the day).
Pretty boutique hotel in a great location, attentive and welcoming staff, beautifully decorated throughout. Our suite was lovely with a kitchen and private jacuzzi, unfortunately we didn't get to use as it was so hot! The staff were very attentive, especially when it came to keeping everyone hydrated, which I appreciated. The food in the restaurant was good, particularly the tuna tartare (we ordered this countless times). The cocktails were good too. We hope to return when we are next visiting Palm Springs.
We loved everything about this boutique hotel.
The rooms were very comfortable, decorated with a lot of taste and spotless.
The area around the pool is an ideal bonus to have in Palm Springs during the hot days or even less hot as the pool is at the perfect temperature.
Special mention to the hot tub, the lounge where you have a 5 stars kitchen with fruits, coffee, tea, yogurt and to the bike that you can borrow for a stroll around downtown.
Definitely a MUST 🥰
We enjoyed the pool, the quiet area and closeness to downtown Palm Springs. The room was beautiful. The best in room coffee we ever had. The bed was very comfortable. This was our first time staying in a small boutique hotel and it was a different vibe. This is a great place for a couple's romantic getaway. Having you room open up to the pool area was nice. I like how the TV was playing 50's classic movies when we arrived.
Beautiful decor and a perfect location - don't miss out on the "rooftop" where you can have a beautiful view around the town while having breakfast. I was able to walk to Palm Springs downtown. The staff giving out breakfast was incredible patient and cheerful, she brightened up my day! Loved the bagels. Plenty of free parking at the hotel - definitely a plus in Palms Springs!
After many years, I still really like this traditional, 'boutique style' hotel and its perfect location downtown Palm Springs. Property is constantly improved and everything is in perfect working condition. People are helpful. Performant WIFI. The large pool and the surrounding garden/courtyard is just great. They don't do things anymore like that, unfortunatly
Cute hotel, but we had some issues in terms of atmosphere. I have stayed at multiple hotels in the Palm Springs area, & this one definitely is the most overrun by kids! We had great service from the bar staff and enjoyed our food, but we were a little bit disappointed by the inability to have an adult convo and I had kids kicking me in the hot tub.
This was my second consecutive year at Alcazar Palm Springs. Had a clean comfortable room with private patio. The mini-fridge is a welcome touch. Pool area is inviting and relaxing. Downtown PS is an easy walk. This is a wonderful boutique hotel with a good price/value relationship.
I love everything about this hotel. This was my 3rd stay there and I would not stay anywhere else in Palm Springs! The rooms are so comfortable, staff very helpful and friendly and the pool is wonderful to relax by. And a great location for downtown Palm Springs.
Charming and comfortable hotel. This was our 3rd stay here. The owners are GREAT and friendly, personable, and very helpful. It's good for an easy run route down S. Palm Canyon Dr. Gorgeous views from the location. This is our go-to Palm Springs hotel!
Quaint boutique hotel well located near downtown Palm Springs. The staff and hotel service were excellent, especially Blanda! The beautifully designed courtyard, pool and hot tub were an oasis to look forward to after a busy day of activities.
The grounds of this hotel are absolutely beautiful! It is truly a lush hidden oasis amongst Palm Springs. Although the rooms are fairly dated and a little dark we still had a great stay and would highly recommend.
Everything was amazing. The hotel is awesome. The staff was really nice. We got a welcome in cocktail as soon as we arrived. Location is perfect for Palm Springs.
Amazing experience.
Everything, It was clean, It was cozy, Personel was super nice. Location is a little bit far from centre but it was really nice walk from the hotel to the centre of Palm Springs.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful with excellent staff and owner. Perfect place to chill and enjoy the hot weather of Palm Springs. Loved the breakfast and the home vibes!
The Inn at Palm Springs is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever visited. The owners are charming and an absolute treasure of information about Palm Springs.
