I was here to embark a cruise. I had one full day free between arrival and departing. I had visited Everglades previously and am not a big fan of beaches, so i found a limited number of things to do. I took a water taxi -spent about 3 hours on it - and enjoyed walking in Los Olas.

Lauderdale by the Sea is great for all ages, kids can enjoy the pool or ocean. beach chairs & towels seem to be available at a lot of motels, this is a great convenience to visitors. Umbertos has great pizza, we didn't eat out all the time, as it was great to pick up a few groceries at Publix or Walmart and have sandwiches/hot chicken for meals throughout our stay. Minimally a bar fridge and microwave, and coffee maker are a great asset in a room when you're there for a 7 to 10+ day stay.MichaelCanada

Everyone is really nice, the location is good and it is nice a cozy. The beach is right across the street, you can walk to the downtown area of Fort Lauderdale or ride a bike to Lauderdale by the Sea. I may be biased by getting to know people from my last stay but I really do like it. I will be back next year for sure.

The family was well laid out, and had a small cook top, microwave, and two mini fridges. There were two separate sleeping spaces one with two queens and the other with a king.
