This hotel is amazing! And immaculately curated! If you are an aesthetic you will appreciate the thoughtful design of everything about this hotel. I absolutely loved being here. The attention to detail in the rooms with the woodwork for the furniture, the wood floors, the lighting (low lights for mood, brighter lights for packing) is superb. Our room felt so comfortable, not at all like a hotel, more like being a villa. We were in one of the larger rooms and I recommend upgrading to this size if you can.
The rooftop pool and bar are the best place in Saigon to hang out in my opinion - the perfect spot to have an afternoon drink while enjoying the breeze and the views or a morning swim in the pool which was remarkably not too warm, just the perfect temp for cooling off. And plenty of loungers which is always a bonus.
The design of the bar and pool area is super cool and very comfortable. The combination of the wood, the metal work design, the lights in the trees, the great views of the city and the breeze, I just loved being up on there with a cocktail watching the lights of Saigon twinkle on below as the sun set on the city. It’s magic.
It’s also in a great location in District 1 with easy walking distance to the landmark sites and the river.
I recommend this hotel to anyone however if you love design and understand the importance of details you will appreciate it all the more.
And a special mention to Chinh for her wonderful help with anything and everything we needed which helped to make our stay so enjoyable.
It was the perfect way to end our three weeks in Vietnam - this would be the hotel we’d book again if we are ever back in Saigon.

Whether you decide to visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, or the Municipal Theater, you’ll see the care shown by Saigonese people in preserving their historic legacy. if you plan to visit Ho Chi Minh, 2 days 1 night to 3 days 2 nights is enough. the city is a little bit dirty and mess, and it's so hot in April, you can't even go outdoors longer in the daytime. There is no air-con in museum, so hot!

Lots to keep you busy exploring hi chi Minh city from museums, markets, local food places, a mix of high end shops and restaurants to local produce and local food haunts. Such variety! The locals all very friendly and happy to help. Lots of nice upmarket bars and great casual coffee shops. Easy to navigate around. We stayed in District 1 which was I feel central to lots of activities. Felt very safe the whole time we stayed. Only small complaint was traffic hard to navigate as a lot of cars and bikes coming at you from different directions at once so need to have your wits about you! Would definitely come back for sure.

This was the first time and we stayed in total 4 nights in HCMC.
The best location is to stay in District 1. It has walking access to so many restaurants, nightlife, shopping, close to the river and the Nguyen Hue street. Travelling with 2 kids (9 & 11) we didn't focus on historic locations since they couldn't appreciate the significance.
We booked 2 tours: 1. a 3 hour cycling tour through the city with drivers (WOW what an experience) & 2. a Mekong Delta tour. Both tours were great but the Mekong delta tour felt a little too long for what was included.
We have one picky child when it comes to food choice, but we were able to find a pho restaurant nearby to satisfy everyone.
The most favourite thing to do was walk around in the evening when everyone comes out. Stop for dinner, drinks, an ice cream. We found a roof top restaurant that was pretty cool, and the shops are open late so the kids could find their "kawaii" girly stuff.
Our hotel was within walking distance (10-15 mins) to both the Airconditioned Saigon Centre with a great food hall in the basement, or crazy Ben Than Market if you dare.
There are so many more things to do around the city, but I think we'll spread it out for the next time we get there when the kids are slightly older, or we are travelling by ourselves. It was just an experience being in a city of almost 10million people, most of them on scooters!

It was a great city but some people will ripped you off.
It was a great city but some people will ripped you off. Some Locals will sell you coconut fruit for 150.000 vnd even if you are just asking how much, they will open it right away so you have no choice to get it and get ripped off. Traumatizing. We also experienced walking along Benh Thanh and one guy just kneeled in front of us that my bf had to stop and started brushing his new shoes with water and soap! Also no choice when he said that it was 150.000 vnd for a service we did not need. All the good experiences were buried by those things being don by the locals. You are asking them nicely to stop but they will not even listen to you. I also bought a coffee for 2M vnd for 1kg because I have no choice. It’s not even the weasel coffee. Just vietnamese coffee. Smh.

A buzzling city and you get a chance to explore food, culture, people, history, and you just name it. Getting the city and different district is easy. But do use translator as some local place still difficult to communicate using English. All the best to explore!

Definitely a vibrant and energetic city with friendly faces.
Definitely a vibrant and energetic city with friendly faces. One will get used to the honking after a day or two, also crossing the street like the local Vietnamese. Just Walk on and do not run or stop in the middle of the road/street to avoid accidents.
The city offers good food expeditions and go with an open mind to try the local fare. Shopping malls are decent but not up to date like most major cities in Asia. The streets can be “perfumed” by the scent of urine. Otherwise, it’s generally clean in most part of the city.

Great location in district 1, walking distance from many interesting tourist attractions. Hotel is new, done in a perfect japanese quality. Perfectly clean and tidy. Our room was on the 18 floor just one floor under the small gym and the swiming pool. We went to the pool both evenings of our stay to take a swim with a view of the city. I loved that the toilet in the room was separate from the bathroom. This hotel is a great place for business trip or a situation when you need a good night sleep and dont plan to stay much in the hotel.
I stayed at Hotel Thanh Vinh for one week. The room was good for the price. The hotel is in a quiet area. The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, they couldn't speak much English, but we managed fine by using Google Translate. The hotel is about 5km out from the centre and there are no tourists staying there, only Vietnamese. If you want to meet real people and experience the real Ho Chi Minh City its the place for you. If you want to get ripped off and be surrounded by tourists, stay in District 1.
The service was outstanding. The personnel was very friendly and helpful, especially the General Manager, Mr. Nguyen Ngo Phi Long. The breakfast was outstanding with many local and Western options. The hotel is very well located, in District 1 at the heart of little Japan (one of Saigon's most buzzing areas), within very easy walking distance to City Hall, Tan Binh market and the Independance Palace. We highly recommend this hotel.
Clean and spacious rooms, very beautiful designed hotel overall.
Rooftop pool has the best view to the Ho Chi Minh city.
Staff is nice but don’t speak English well and need a bit more training in hosting customers.
Concierge Luong was the best of all the staff I met in the hotel. From the minute I entered lobby he took care of me, speaks English very well, helped to find a driver for a day and has advised great places to visit.
Charming boutique hotel. The hotel is housed in a beautifully restored French colonial building and features a blend of traditional. The hotel also has a rooftop pool, a spa and a restaurant. The room was spacious and well appointed, with all the amenities eco-friendly you need for a comfortable stay. Overall, Alagon is a great choice for travelers looking for a charming and relaxing hotel in Ho Chi Minh city.
We liked the size of the appartment, the view, location and pool.
We got an appartment in the building called Millenium, not Rivergate, it was placed on the other side of the highway. We were on 30rd floor, non of the pictures on Booking.com shows this appartment, we didnt know that before arrival. It takes about 20 min with kids to walk to the city district 1, but it is cheap with taxi/grab too.
Fantastic boutique hotel in a lovely, quite part of district 1. Easy walking distance to the centre of the city, and a taxi ride is only a couple of dollars. The pool was beautiful and always clean. Beds were very comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. Lots of local restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the staff for a lovely stay.
Great location! It is in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City but off of the main roads so it’s easy to get to and not super congested.
It’s also a 5 min walk from Turtle Lake!
The rooms are clean, large and comfortable.
The bathrooms are also updated and super clean with Japanese bidets.
The service and hotel workers are super friendly, attentive and so helpful.
The first thing I have noticed is that the hotel is designed by a very good architect. The room was nicely laid out and clean. Very friendly staffs and managers. It is quite close to the city center. The street where the hotel is located is full of street foods and restaurants. I really dig the “Bung thit nug”.
5 stars overall!
I recently enjoyed a pleasant stay at 8h Hostel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, opting for a solo room that, while a bit small, was clean and well-maintained. The hostel's prime location next to vibrant markets made it easy to immerse myself in the local culture. It was easy to catch a grab or taxi on the main street.
The location is perfect, walking distance to all major sites in district 1. The staff was very accommodating, and helped rebooked after we lost our first night because our flight got delayed 24hrs. The tea spread was accompanied by live music, and offered delicious treats. A nice break in the chaos of the city :).
The room was very clean and Very Kindly staff. The noise was very low because little away from district 1. I could night view in the city but not a nice skyline. I was satisfied with all things about the hotel. There was a dart and football machine on the rooftop. and I could smoke.
Located in the core of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the Sai Gon Hotel is surrounded by many kinds of restaurants, shopping centers, and cultural activities. Located within a short distance from Tao Dan Park and Ben Thanh Market, the hotel enjoys a prime location.
The market is across the road and the walk to the Hop on Hop Off bus near the theatre is manageable even in the heat. Our stay was so memorable that we would most definitely want to stay at Raddison Orchard Hotel should we again visit Ho Chi Minh City.
This is my first stay at Nicecy Boutique Hotel, my impression is that the hotel is very large, located in the heart of District 1, near Ben Thanh market. I will come back and recommend friends to stay here.
amazing facilities, friendly staff. 2 pools, a restaurant, shop and a gym. The lobby looks like a 5 star hotel. you won’t regret staying in this beautiful oasis in the middle of a hectic city
