Our family really enjoyed our stay at Villa Jacquelina and would definitely stay there again. We had room with three beds and a private bathroom that worked our very well for our family of 4. The room was very clean.
We really loved the outdoor terrace area near the common kitchen (the breakfast was the best out of 5 hotels that we stayed at in Costa Rica) and found everyone to be super hospitable. The pool was cute and our favorite part was the breath breath work and yoga classes that took place on the terrace.

La Foresta is located outside Quepos in a beautiful garden. A swinging bridge connects to a jungle hiking trail. Best Happy Hour drinks in Costa Rica. Although you are outside of town, it is short drive to Quepos and the Manual Antonio park. You can spend the day at the beach and then return to quiet, relaxing hotel in the evening. For us, it was the best of both worlds.

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

Quepos is a tourist trap, all designed around Manuel Antonio national park. The hard sell is tough bbbuuutt the beauty of the rainforest is amazing. A weekend in this tiny place is easily enough, I would not recommend staying longer.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.
We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

The last point of our trip.
The last point of our trip. So many great things we have seen. But at the end of this incredible nature, do you have to experience this greed for money along the road to the national park? No! Just keep stopping in this country and be amazed. Quepos is not a MUST.

Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers!
Quepos is super crowded and to pricy for what it offers! If you want to find some nice place nearby Quepos just have a short ride with a car and go south of Quepos to find some nice and lonely beaches!
This was our second stay at this apartment hotel. It is exceptional value in Quepos town. The area and room are very quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped. plus they also have salt an oil available for cooking. They bathroom has a lovely shower with hot water. Bed is very comfortable. The room is cleaned every day. The apartment is a quick walk to Pali, grocery store and also to the bus station. The staff are very kind and helpful. We liked it so much we stayed here twice.
we had a terrific stay in the 4 bunk jungle container. the AC was great, the community kitchen did the job, the jungle beyond the property brought us spider monkeys and all kinds of birds. the host was an allstar too. 20 minutes drive from manuel antonio. we enjoyed quepos as well. nice quite evenings. we had terrific neighbors sharing the space with us and the garden, community kitchen, extra showers, extra bathroom and extra space made for a roomy stay in small quarters
Nice Hostel - clean, spacious with many chill areas, a beautiful yoga / workout area and a well equipped kitchen.
The host and the staff are very friendly and supportive, giving you many insights about the surroundings and activities. The hostel provides a well-informed online travel guide that helps you organise your stay.
We really enjoyed having breakfast on the beautiful terrace. So far Villas Jaquelina was the best stay in Costa Rica. 100% recommended!
I was one of the first guests at this newly refurbished hotel. Stephan and his team were very helpful at check in with a tour of the beautiful property. The room was large, nicely furnished and clean. The hot tub is spectacular and is a nice community space that allowed me to get to know some of the other guests that weekend. Stephan is a Chef and the breakfast buffet was amazing. He also offered to prepare items that weren't on the buffet upon request.
The place is absulettly amazing and above our expectation!
It is completly new, and designed with every small detail.
Above and beyond any other accomodations that we had in Costa Rica, and with a reasonable price.
The communication was excellent with immediate response, even that we arrived later than expected.
The property has a private parking and a huge garden that belongs to it.
The place is quiet and private.
The hosts were amazing, they helped us plan our trip in Costa Rica and we had a great time together talking. They helped us see what we came to see, even though the national park Manuel Antonio was closed. Great people with big hearts.
The accomodation was much much better than what we saw for the same price elsewhere in CR, clean and very nicely decorated. So altogether very very good for so little money.
Santa Juan Lodge had amazing views from the mountains of Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The lodge provided lots of privacy, tranquility, and peacefulness throughout. Also, the hospitality and staff were exceptional. Not only did they provide great service, but the meals were truly home-cooked Costa Rican cuisine. I would definitely come back here when we revisit the Quepos area.
Arboleda is a delightful "old lady of an hotel ... slightly dated, very well priced and the location is fantastic! Beautiful beach front on the quiet side of the beach with loungers and walking distance to the Manuel Antonio National Park. We enjoyed the hospitality of the family run establishment and the charm of yesteryear ! They also make a great Pina Colada!!
Really liked the is hostel, had great social spaces and a really large kitchen. The garden area and pool were really peaceful, nicer than the pictures! Perfect location, most hostels were on the main road to Manuel Antonio so you couldn’t walk out, however being in Quepos meant could easily do this here and was super close to the bus stop. Would highly recommend.
Hotel was full of trees and flowers. Butterflies everywhere. We got to see wild Turcans and Scarlet Macaws right in the hotel property. Rooms were very large... 25x25 or so. Our unit had two rocking chairs and we were able to enjoy the mornings watching the greenery. Hotel also has mini nature walk in the back and it was a treat. Good included breakfast.
Amazing hotel! Each lodge is amazing and the view is just breathtaking. We were sitting on our balconies for hours enjoying the view. The staff was extremely friendly and the typical Costa Rican meals were also much better than on overage and still not expensive at all!
The owner is so helpful to make everything perfect. The house is super clean. The breakfast is so delicious. The owner shared a lot of local information to make the trip even better. In addition, you have chance to experience Costa Rica local life.
Comfortable, spacious and good air con. Wonderful to have laundry after hiking Camino de Costa Rica for 14 days. Met the owners’ son who manages the property and he was very receptive to our feedback. Highly recommend. good value
Lovely hosts, a magnificent view and many animals (monkeys, parrots, lizzard) that come and say hello to you every day. Really clean, nice swimming pool and a short walk to the centre of Quepos.
Amazing view! Very close to the beach- would dedinitely come back! Cozy hotel with well equipped rooms and all the employees are kind and professional. Breakfast is delicious!
The view was amazing. It overlooks the marina and you have an excellent sunset view of Quepos. Beautiful. Rey is one of the most accommodating host i have met.
