Plan a whole day and take your time soaking in the history.

Plan a whole day and take your time soaking in the history. There are good little cafes tucked into side areas of castle. Wait for cathedral to have opened and line to decrease before trying to enter. Enjoyed the beautiful gardens. Exit through the gardens and walk back downhill into city for great views and less crowded paths.

There is no easy access for people with issues with walking! The ticket and information office should be somewhere near the entrance rather than at the end of the castle! Hence, the design, heritage, view, and the cathedral are worth exploring. Be aware that you need 3 to 5 hours to see everything!

Impressive group of buildings on top of the hill with fab views over Prague. Recommend U Pivrnce Hradčany for lunch: Good beer and traditional Czech food. I had Bohemian dumplings with beef goulash and homemade potato pancakes - Excellent! It's set back a bit from the road in a courtyard at Hradčanské nám. 60/12, 110 00 Praha 1-Hradčany, Czechia, so is perhaps a little less crowded than other places. Loved it for our relaxed, unhurried lunch in the sun.

The climb up to the castle isn't too bad, if you're in reasonable condition. The hotel man made out it would be super steep, but wasn't bad at all, especially if you go earlier in the day before it gets too warm. The castle itself isn't as spectacular as you might expect, compared to some English castles, but the cathedral and basilica are worth a visit. The "Golden Mile" is a street with small houses: some have a few interesting museum-type artifacts and history, amd some are just shops, ranging from handmade jewelery to more touristy stuff. The audio tour may be worthwhile if you're particularly interested in learning the history (there are a few information boards with English translations, but there are a lot with no English or no information at all). Bear in mind they need CASH as a deposit for the audiotour machine. We had none so couldn't get one.

We liked the location of the apartment, right by the footsteps of the Prague castle (4min walk). You also had a small grocery store right around the corner with good prices and convenient opening hours. Having the ability to park the car in the apartment courtyard complex was a huge bonus, as parking and space in the streets surrounding the apartment would have been difficult. The size of the apartment was great, with two big bedrooms on opposite ends providing perfect privacy for bigger families.

It's a glamourous classic 4.5 star smaller hotel. Location is great, very close to the tourist attractions, but on a quieter street. We walked everywhere, except to the Prague Castle which could be walked to by most people. It has a connecting bar/cafe that has live piano music at night and some nice desserts/sandwiches. Staff is friendly and responsive. Breakfast is a nice buffet.

This hotel is very quiet, comfortable, and of good value. It is conveniently located for access to the central railway station (one stop on subway line C) and near the tramway stop Stepanska to Prague Castle and Strahov (lines 22/23). Our room was spacious and did have a kettle for coffee and tea (contrary to some reviews). The breakfast buffet is excellent.

I almost don’t want to tell anyone about this property- to keep it myself, alas I cannot. This Hotel is one of the most exceptional lodging experiences of my life, and I’ve traveled extensively! Its a former Prague Castle, extended building, just at the base of the complex and a former home of the Court of Rudolph II’s Astronomer Tycho Brahee amongst others. The service, setting and amenities are truly world class. The food was excellent and I was in heaven staying here!

The apartment was in a fantastic location and was very clean. The host was very responsive and helped us carry all our luggage up to the apartment (it was about 120 steps). He was also super helpful with providing information, recommendations, etc. The view of Prague Castle from the rooftop terrace was amazing! We would definitely stay at the apartment again.

The hotel is conveniently located, with public transport stops nearby, and it’s even possible to walk to Prague Castle. The breakfast was a real highlight – varied and delicious, with the option to build your own miso soup, made-to-order pancakes and omelets, tasty cappuccino with alternative milk, and even complimentary sparkling wine.
