The location was perfect as we were spending time with family in Gloucester, great to have a parking space and apartment easy to locate. Everything we needed was provided, if you want to cook in there is everything you need, a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Lovely to have a lounge/diner/kitchen to relax in. Large bedroom with plenty of storage and a bathroom with everything you need. Nice to have the little touches provided, washing up liquid, t-bags, coffee and sugar etc.

The property itself looks fantastic from the exterior and strikes a really nice balance between old and new. Walking into reception we were welcomed by a lovely lady who was extremely helpful and polite. The restaurant was very nice, great food, great decor and nice relaxing atmosphere. Just a shame we were only there 1 night and it was raining as we would’ve loved to have explored the grounds a bit.

We were upgraded to a lovely room with a great view of the river. We chatted to the new owners on the Sunday evening and were treated to some lovely Yorkshire puddings which we enjoyed for breakfast. There was a band on in the evening which were very good, it was really sad that there weren’t more people to hear them.
