It was such a beautiful oasis! Stayed in a triple room with 4 people. The staff were awesome and kind. The breakfast was delicious and included for us. The view from the roof was awesome. The orange kitty there cuddled me forever and sadly my friends wouldn’t let me take it into the room lol. Very safe, and gated. Good location. Would highly recommend and stay again!

This location is amazing. I really enjoyed staring at the view, and I really loved the onsite coffee shop. Also the bakery cart right at the hotel was lovely. Main Street Santander is not ideal, you listen to reggaeton music in many places which is terrible and so disgusting. There are many little restaurants where you can eat for a fair price. The lake view is great but the surroundings are not very nice, the place is not tourist ready, you might go to other little towns like San Pedro, Santa Cruz or San Juan

Like with many places (or even more than most places) depending on your choices Panajachel can be fabulous, beautiful, exhausting, authentic, spiritual, commercial and ……Read about it as much as you can before you go. Endless options here for all kinds of traveler. I found it to be very interesting and would love to be able to come back some day.

Panajachel is paradise. The weather is beautiful.
Panajachel is paradise. The weather is beautiful. Lots of sun, but not too hot most of the time. Lots of great restaurants. There are a lot of markets stalls around with local goods, like hand woven textiles. The lake itself is amazing. Panajachel has access to something for everyone. San Juan for artists, San Pedro for a nice night life, San Antonio for pottery, San Marcos for yoga retreats, etc. All of the towns are just a lancha (ferry) ride away. Be careful during the rainy season, because in the afternoons you can get soaked

This is a very clean and safe place to stay.
This is a very clean and safe place to stay. I felt very safe being out during the day and at night also. It is easy to get a tuk tuk to take you where you want to go. There are plenty of places to eat with a variety of menu choices. Most menus have vegetarian options. I have never had a problem with finding great food and the prices are very reasonable.
If you want to explore the other villages on the lake, it is easy to take a public boat and go anywhere.

This town is so much fun.
This town is so much fun. Definitely has a tourist trap vibe but the activities here are so much fun. We did an ATV tour to see the sunset. We had a blast! The views were breathtaking. There was some road work that cut our planned tour short but the guild we had was amazing and did what he could to make it a full and worth while experience. Simoon tours was who we went with. Yesua was our guild, though I could be butchering his name, sorry if I am. He was amazing! I would absolutely do other tours they offer, especially if he was the guild again. So much fun!
The hotel is quite simple but very clean and has an excellent location (5-7 minutes and you are in the heart of the city!).
The atmosphere of the place is contagious! The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They will help you with anything you may need, from things related to the hotel, general info about the city to organizing tours to other cities. They also provide a great breakfast and excellent WI-fi (something not so easy to find in Guatemala)
This hotel has the perfect location for exploring Panajachel and taking lanchas to other pueblos around the lake! The staff, especially Francisco, were INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful. They even kept my bags for me for a few days while I stayed in other towns. He also helped arrange my shuttle to the airport and back and communicated very effectively when my flight was severely delayed. Don't hesitate to book!
Selina Atitlan is a smooth operation that meets pretty much all your needs. It's a great place to meet people, with lots of activities and gathering spaces. The room was huge and beautiful and had everything we needed, including pretty good wifi. In fact, the whole facility was very beautifully appointed. The bar/breakfast staff were great. There were lots of food and drink options, including breakfast.
So enjoy the energy, location and the professional staff. Leslie is always there and ensures needs are met. the hotel is clean and captures the essence of Guatemala as it was 35 years ago. Yet, the hotel has been remodeled to reflect today’s current styles. the ceiling fans were a nice bonus as well as the complimentary bottled water, coffee, and teas. The community kitchen is always kept clean.
Beautiful property near the shores of Lake Atitlan. The village is quiet, but has a local market and a pier. Please note that this village is not on the normal route for the public ferries around the lake, but you can arrange a private boat to take you to the other villages. The pool is wonderful, and the restaurant was terrific. As a solo traveler, they took very good care of me.
The room was basic but clean. I appreciated that they had distilled water in a few locations around the hotel. The grounds and gardens/courtyards/terraces were very tranquil and relaxing. It felt safe and the location was very close to the dock and our shuttle pick up point as well as the main street.
Hotel Atitlan was stunning. We loved our stay there. The room was beautiful with a great view of the volcanoes, the service was fantastic, the faculties were excellent and the botanical garden was exquisite. It was the perfect mix of high end and relaxation.
Loved the free coffee which helped ease me into the day but best were the bed and a fantastic hot and powerful shower - best so far in Guatemala.. Location was great and it was very quiet too. The ataff team were very helpful and the pesky parrott a bonus.
Cute family run hotel with nice terrace. Easily walkable to everywhere in town. Decor with local goods.
Nice refill water stations.
Hot water shower w/pressure.
The town has amazing food!
Plenty of access to many activities.
Friendliest town!
They were able to easily help us schedule a shuttle back to Guatemala City for 2 for 350Q. Loved having access to a clean and functioning kitchen. Allowed us to check out a little later since our shuttle wasn't until noon.
Great location, great room with a roof terrace. I stayed here one night as my previous hotel had no vacancy. I wish I would’ve stayed here. So clean. Comfortable bed. Good WiFi. Good shower, very modern spacious rooms.
host is super nice and very friendly. i had a really great local Guatemalan experience here. i would recommend staying, especially for the price ! breakfast made by his wife is also delicious. gracias !
Clean place, very warm welcome at reception. Big room with en-suite shower. TV played HBO movies which was great. Good little spot to explore pana / lake Atitlan.
