I was there for work so only for one night, but I will go back for a short break. The area is colourful and again I was lucky with the weather, the sun was shining and there were paddle boarders out in the water and kids on the small beach. The people are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The local produce is fantastic so make sure you try some of the smaller cafes and stores for bread, pastries etc. There is quite a few restaurants so again try them.

As it was out of season, it was delightful, wouldn't want to go during high season, roads are very narrow, although there are plenty of passing places, which some visitors seem to ignore. Lovely island with amazing wildlife, worth a visit.

So much to do, visiting Tobermory Cheese Farm on Friday afternoon, Tobermoray Beach and Aros Park one day and Calgary Beach the next. Then Monday am an hour boat trip to learn about the local wildlife and history, followed by learning about whales in the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust shop where really knowledgeable helpers chatted about all things bones, teeth, shared books and showed lovely interest in our kids' interests. Going at Easter was perfect as it wasn't too busy and we were very lucky with the weather. Great base to explore Mull. I found driving around the island takes a lot of concentration!

Nice little town, mostly closed in January when we were there but that's to be expected in a holiday destination given the location and time of year. We went for the walks and scenery (both great) not shopping!

A beautiful gem of a town.
A beautiful gem of a town. The high street has a small but excellent volunteer run museum which is definitely worth visiting. The Tobermory Distillery tour was also fun and informative with a nice dram at the end.
Excellent fresh decor and cleanliness. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine. Comfortable large double bed and decent sofa bed with good bedding. Decent washroom with good shower and plenty of towels.
Great location - short level walk to shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaways and Tobermory ferry terminal (this easy access to Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan).
A good comfortable base with decent road connections from which to explore the more remote and less well equipped parts of Mull.
Location was fabulous! Easy walking to all the shops, restaurants and across the street from the harbor.
Washing machine and drying rack. So great to be able to wash clothes after 10 days of traveling
Loved the fact there were blackout shades in the bedroom! June in Scotland it is light out until after 11 pm and sun rises at 3:30 am, so appreciated being able to sleep in.
Heated towel rack was great. Kitchen was fully outfitted.
The Western Isles in Tobermory is an excellent and well positioned hotel. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our dog was made more than welcome. The ambience throughout is of a very high standard. The restaurant has an excellent menu and has wonderful views over the harbour and across the loch. Our stay was very enjoyable and comfortable. We would certainly stay at the Western Isles again.
A newly opened guest house, and what a brilliant place. John and Robert were really welcoming and the house was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Loads of advice on what to do on Mull and where to eat in Tobermory. We had a beautiful room with great sea views and the breakfast was excellent too. We were sad to leave however we had a really memorable time here.
My husband and I stayed at Glengorm Castle with dear friends. We couldn't have been more delighted by the experience. We were warmly greeted by Tom upon our arrival, and were thrilled with our apartment, the extraordinarily beautiful property, and setting. This was a highlight of a fabulous trip to Scotland. We hope to return and give it our highest recommendation.
Beautiful quiet location beside a farm overlooking the Sound of Mull. Just a few minutes drive from Tobermory and less than half an hour to the Craignure ferry to/from Oban. En-suite room was comfortable and clean. Kitchen/dining area was well appointed with great views. Good value for money. Plenty space for parking.
The host Graham is really friendly and personable. Very useful with all the latest information about Mull. Although the cottage is at the top of the steep hill overlooking Tobermory Harbour it is only ten minutes walk and very well placed to explore the town. The breakfast was fabulous each and every day.
This was our best stay during our trip to Scotland. It is a beautiful and comfortable appartment with a great view of the tobermory harbour. The kitchen is large and equipped with everything you could need and the host provides you with some little goodies like milk and wine to welcome you.
Great stop over in Tobermory after a days walking on Mull. Great kitchen facilities and large light filled dining kitchen room with views of the harbour. Co-op a few door down meant feeding the family was easy. Rooms cool in the evening despite being at the top of the building.
we have stayed in this apartment on a few occasions, the location is amazing the hosts ensure the the apartment is spotlessly clean, could not fault this as a place to stay in Mull, will always book this apartment for our future stays 10 out of 10 all round
Lewis and Sophie are excellent hosts, welcoming and professional. The hotel is ideally placed on the harbour front. The hotel was spotlessly clean, modern and everything in working order. The inhabitants of Mull are friendly, very tolerant and gentle
The breakfast was amazing, John carefully sourced out the very best of local farm fare. The B&B was within an easy walk of all the town had to offer. The room and en-suite were like being at home but better because we were on an island in Scotland.
Kirk Cottage was the perfect stay on the Isle of Mull. The rooms are beautiful and immaculately kept, giving the feeling of a spa. The breakfast is delicious. Best of all Graham is so welcoming, a charming host.
Great location on main high street overlooking the bay. Able to park outside the hotel at no cost. Ideal to use as a base for day trips around Mull. Good & tasty food available in cosy bar & restaurant
