Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, great food and wine, and an amazing location on the Isle of Mull, overlooking Tobermory Bay. Some rooms have wonderful sea views. The views were phenomenal (we were on the top floor with a seaside view). The conservatory, lounge and dining room were nice. Our room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. Although there was no elevator, our luggage was delivered to our room. Good selection on the dinner menu and the breakfast included both hot and cold choices.

As an adventurer I have to say that the hike I took while I was there will be one of the most exciting and memorable in my life. Loved the island.

Arle Lodge Self-Catering Accommodations is a small family-run property located on the stunning Isle of Mull on the West Coast of Scotland. Quiet & serene & perfectly situated to explore the entire island. Our room was great, beds comfy & cooking facilities were spacious. Showers were great too! Our only regret is not staying longer on this peaceful & stunning island. Highly recommend Arle Lodge & will stay again if we visit Mull.
Brightly colored buildings, pastels, crowd the waterfront. Many quaint shops anchored by a distillery at one end and boat terminal at the other, an arc of ocean front in between. If you drove here, the prize of arriving in Tobermory is all the sweeter. Along the way are many miles of single lane road. Where it is too narrow for oncoming cars to pass. Instead first car to a pull out waits for the other to pass there with a wave of the hand from steering wheel. Frankly I welcomed the pullout stops as the time to take in the gasping-for-breath spectacular views. Rainbows are common in the late afternoon when the sun is low. That barndoor soaring over the mountain cliffs on extra-wide wings is likely a white-tailed eagle, bigger than bald eagles. The town is full of friendly people, who make up for dreary weather with much cheer. In the pubs, sailors linger over malts. Rory McCann nursed a Highland Park, the Hound had sailed down from Ullapool during the off season.
Tobermory and Mull is a fantastic Island to explore. I love the Island and even most things were closed for the season I still had an enjoyable break. As ever Iona was outstanding, Calgary Bay in November sunshine beautiful and climbing Ben More in 80mph winds exhilarating.
Tobermory is stunning. Friendly people, a whiskey distillery and great pubs/restaurants. The drive up is a little difficult for tourists, but slow and steady gets you there. Highly recommend Macgochens. Delicious food and great bar.
Tobermory is a quaint sea-side village with colorful buildings. There seems to be sufficient parking between the harbor side parking and the car park located in front of the Tobermory Distillery. There are several restaurants and pubs and we had great meals in all the ones we ate in. We ate in the Mishdish restaurant, Macgochans Restaurant and Pub and the Galleon Grill. Everything was fantastic. There is also some good shopping in Tobermory. We especially appreciate the proprietor at the Isle of Mull Silver and Goldsmiths - great selection of jewelry and silver items celebrating Scottish culture. All the people we talked with in Tobermory were very friendly.
Small town with gorgeous views, the staff at the distillery were very enjoyable, the restaurant next to the distillery was good food and friendly staff. We went off season so not much open but still quite fun. The farm selling cheese is definitely worth stopping at.

Very friendly welcome. The property might have been harder to find but our hosts emailed excellent directions beforehand. Comfortable room with a small ensuite bathroom. It's a B&B so don't expect it to have the facilities of a bland chain hotel. You will find a charming home-from-home located about a mile from Tobermory in a lovely rural setting. The breakfast (ordered the night before) is superb and locally sourced.

With my girlfriend, we stayed only one night, but the room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The house was just a quick 5 minute walk from the seafront where you can find restaurants and shops. There was free parking in the street. Tobermory and the Isle of Mull are lovely and the host was very kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Croissant could have been a bit warmer, but on reflection i think it is better to eat the food that the local people know and cook well. Who wants croissant in the western isles of Scotland anyway!
