Great location, great Spanish/Moorish style hotel on several levels. In house restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Small artsy town with easy car access. Enjoyed the small patio off our room.

Vejer is a quaint, white village in Andalusia. An excellent tour can be purchased on Voicemap for less than 6 Euros. It is filled with a wealth of history and culture of Vejer. The App works amazingly well allowing us to browse a shop that we came across and then continuing after we left the shop. The guide is Carlos Milburn. Unless one has mobility issues the car can be parked and visitors can walk through the town throughout their stay. There are many restaurants, cafes, etc. to choose from. Be aware of holidays when visiting Vejer as all the shops, etc shutter. Except for peak tourist season even the restaurants might not be serving food on a holiday.

The place is beautiful and there was a Jazz Festival during our visit. Parking the car was challenging, but our hotel offered us a taxi from the parking lot when we arrived. If you have health problems with your feet, I cannot recommend this city. Lots of steep hills, which are dangerous even for young people in the rain. The food was tasty and the people everywhere were really friendly!

Vejer de la Frontera is great for people wanting to chill out and just hang out in a peaceful place. It has many hills and stairs wherever you go, so grab comfortable shoes and some water, but it's worth it. Everyone is super friendly, and they don't mind helping you when you ask. It's not for the ones looking for parties and crazy nightlife, that's for sure. But if you want to relax and reflection, then this is the perfect place for it.

We love this cute town... the views from it are fantastic.
We love this cute town... the views from it are fantastic. There are many cute gift shops with clothes, wicker, jewellery, pictures, pottery, etc. There are a lot of shops selling artists' handicrafts, we could have spent a lot of money there! The restaurants are excellent with really gorgeous food, we definitely recommend Corderra 55. We visited Conil de la Frontera (17 minutes away) with a lovely beach. Also Zahara de los atunes and Barbate are only 20 minutes away. We will go back!

One of the most beautiful and historic towns I have stayed in.
The village is located on the top of the hill with every building painted white.
This location has been settled since at least the Bronze Age and has more recent Moorish and Christian architecture.
It is a quiet and picturesque town with nice restaurants.
The views from the village are beautiful overlooking the surrounding plains. It is close to some spectacular and quiet beaches.

This is the best location in Vejer de la Frontera. The building is in the heart of Old Town and very close to a free, public car park. The views from the terrace are absolutely outstanding. The host Willy will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is in enjoyable. The place is spotless and it has really nice touches. The cave and roof terrace areas are also brilliant. The bathing pool was empty but this is easily fillable using the fast water tap. Thank you for making it a great stay for us we will be back!
Such a beautiful, ascetically pleasing hotel in a great location, right in the old town surrounded by restaurants & little boutique shops. The hotel is right on the main road as you enter the old town so you can drive right up-to the front doors & park right outside no with no problem to unload your bags (a lot of hotels in Vejer this is not possible) On top the staff are super friendly and helpful, i would defiantly recommend this hotel & if ever in Vejer again we will be returning.
Such a jewel of a hotel in a lovely white village… Everything is gorgeous inside and outside. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was facing a roof terrace in which we could enjoy a cup of tea/coffee from the room facilities and the restaurant is outstanding… The best food in the area if you like middle-eastern dishes. Lovely breakfast included in the price of the room. Could’t ask for a better place to visit Vejer!
Beautiful small hotel right in the heart of this stunning village. Our room was the best we stayed in during our trip to Spain. The view from our room and balcony was incredible! Highly recommend staying here.
Also worth a mention is the restaurant El Jardin del Califa, it was excellent and in a lovely setting.
The location was excellent. We did not have a car so parking was not an issue for us but we know it is a challenge in Vejer de la Frontera. The apartment was spotless and size was perfect for the two of us. I think it would be snug for 4 for more than a few days. We did use the laundry which worked perfectly.
Serious con job . No one tells you that you cannot drive to the property. The journey to the hotel is a nightmare. You try to call and get diverted to some golf course . You park half a mile away and lug your suitcases . They do not tell you . No one at reception at times .
We had a wonderful time at Casa Encalada. We loved it. Communication was easy and the people was great. We felt like home. I would definitely stay there again and also would recommend it to anyone visiting Vejer de la Frontera. ¡Gracias por todo Ana, Carmen y Willy!

Easiest check-in and check-out process I've experienced on this two-week trip in Spain, where it is common to undergo extended bureaucratic processes for everything surrounding hotels, car rentals, flights, etc.
Spent one night. Very clean, comfortable hotel. The included breakfast is nice and simple. Staff very friendly and helpful. Quiet neighborhood. Near great stores and restaurants. Perfect for a couples getaway!
Beautiful cosy flat, bright and well positioned. We had a fantastic time in Vejer de la Frontera and this flat is really an amazing place to have as a base. We will definitely come back, thank you so much!
The location, interior design, staff. It is a little diamond in the center of Vejer de la Frontera. It rained when we were there so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful terrace. Next time we will.
