The only reason to stay here was to get an early bus to the Quilotoa loop. Walked round and there were zero attractions to visit. Even the churches were shut but that may have been due to the State of Emergency. Didn't eat out because I didn't see anywhere open I fancied eating in.

Though not much to do in the city, it's nevertheless a convenient stop for accessing all the nearby volcanoes and lakes. The city has a potential, it needs a bit of tourism infrastructure to encourage longer stay rather than a quick passing through.
The room was small and so was the bed (seemed smaller than a full size) but for $16 for a room with private bathroom, we didn’t really expect much. Shower had hot water and the hostel is between the bus terminal and the city main square so perfect for one night to sleep and leave your bags (for free) before doing the Quilotoa trek.
Victor, the owner, used to be a guide and gave us a bunch of info about the trek.
I loved the historic charm of the building, antique decor, great architecture. The location is excellent. The shower was hot. Our room was clean. The breakfast was good and different each day. The staff was the best. Friendly and polite and gave us a good feeling about Latacunga and helped arrange an all day tour to Quilatoa. WiFi is superior.
Great location and super friendly staff! We arrived in Latacunga after a terrible bus ride and our Airbnb host was no longer available to let us in. We rang the doorbell at Hostel Tiana and they immediately let us in and gave us a comfortable place to stay. The kitchen and common areas are large and comfortable and the rooms are cozy.
The location was perfect for getting cash and going to the bus stop. Breakfast wasn't included but it was great, super yummy and you eat with the hotels family which is lovely. Room was very clean, close to places to eat and perfect if you are heading for hiking as they will store uour bags for free
Latagunga Hostel is Hotel Standard. It is in s besutiful old building. Nelson the owner is very helpful and has good English & is vety enthusiastic about all there is to do locally. Great cafe next door with barista coffee & excellent sandwiches whuch i took for my day at Quilotoa.
Great location in town, very helpful and friendly owner, nice roof terrace, comfortable beds with plenty of blankets. We were able to split the dates of our booking to do the Quilotoa Loop and come back. The hotel stored our bags while we did the loop.
The hotel was gorgeous! The manager was wonderful and very helpful. She allowed us to leave our luggage there for 3 days in a secure room. Breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay! Absolutely charming place with lovely dogs in the courtyard.
Hotel Rosim served a good breakfast, and it was available from 7:00 a.m. This would be appreciated by anyone wanting an early start. They will also store excess luggage not required by people hiking the Quilatoa Loop, at no charge.
Perfect location. Early breakfast to allow using the early morning. Good advice on trips by the staff including checking the latest bus schedules. You can also book trips directly at the hotel. Good dinner recommendations.
great breakfast and the host Marco stored our bags for free while we hiked the Quilotoa loop and gave us a lift to the bus station and was very friendly! only stayed one night before hike as not much to see in Latacunga.
The location was central, to national parks in the area. It was also walking distant to several nice restaurants within the central city.
Additionally, the hotel was gorgeously decorated.
A simple place, perfect to chill before and after the treks around Latacunga. The owner is the nicest person and full of very good advices and infos for going trekking quilotoa or Cotopaxi
