I don't like anything that I saw there, first of all I was asked to wait for 30mins for the reception to get me booked in. My Experience in Guest house @ the Bear was bad. The reception was a man who was smelling of Alcohol, he declined to even give me a room maybe because am black. I was badly treated and I will not advice anybody to go there. It's very very bad place to be.

Like most seaside accommodation I was expecting it to be a bit run down and was delighted to find my room was newly refurbished to a high standard with a very smart en-suite and good free Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels appeared new.

Friendly professional staff
Good size room fresh en-suite comfy bed.
Had starter and desert, both good. Desert imaginative.
Lots of nice little rooms and places to sit and relax, eat and drink, or in my case read a book.
Garden tables.
Nice breakfast.

Unfortunately I found nothing nice about it, we were greeted with a man with his phone in his face, told us to hold on. The room was filthy it may have had a quick clean but the dust was awful, the mould around the bath. The bed linen was damp. It needed a good clean. 178 I paid for one night and I'm disgusted.
No breakfast vouchers given even though I had paid, however that was sorted out but wish I hadn't bothered paying extra for the breakfast. Would not recommend.

Read the main review - but I would add that you have to remember that this is on the northbound carriageway and if travelling south, you will need to go past it, get off at the next junction, and then join the carriageway north.

I liked the location - so close to the motorway exit.
I liked the location - so close to the motorway exit. They have big parking lot. So, no problem of parking. Also, restaurants, coffee shop, petrol station so close to the hotel. Enjoyed my stay there and will surely visit in future.

Exactly what I expected.
Exactly what I expected. Ideal as a place to break your journey travelling on M5, & for staying longer to visit the surrounding area if you just want somewhere clean & tidy to stay. Also cheaper than premier inn & other holiday accomodation. As we take our own breakfast, a fridge would be great to have in the room for milk etc.
Downside is, apart from walking to services, you always need your car to travel to places.
room - was very clean and tidy and what we both expected from our booking.
bed - was very comfortable and very clean - the carpet was showing its age alot but was still not too bad - quite cleanish!
clean - overall the reception and the corridors and rooms are kept very clean on the daily nightly basis here all!!
outside front area - of the hotel was kept very clean and tidy here - most of the time - where the smoking area is atbthe front of the building to the righthand side.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful. They were quick to respond to a request to have a ground floor room and couldn't do enough for you. The hotel was in a great location and was very comfortable for the price. Despite being next to the motorway the room was also really quiet. We would definitely stay again. Thank you to everyone at Days Inn Sedgemoor.
I wasn't expecting much being at the services, but it was an absolutely top-notch hotel. Very clean, comfortable bed, the room was well equipped, free parking and great friendly staff.
They even have breakfast options in the reception with a big selection. It saved me a fortune by buying something from the services.
The hotel is primarily a sort of a convenient pit stop for long journeys. It's perfect in this regard, check-in was easy, parking right outside, room spacious, clean services about a minute away, staff friendly, and optional breakfast.
the hotel is next to the M5, which makes it ideal for traveling to Weston super mare and or Bristol.
Room is tidy, bed is lovely and comfy and Breakfast deal with The Great Breakfast in the services next door is brilliant!!
Easy access to and from motorway.
Can buy essential items you might need from the hotel it's self at a reasonable price also a choice of eateries and refreshments on the complex.
The hotel room was clean and spacious, the staff very helpful. Value for money. Nice stay. The matress was comfortable and again room was clean and a good size bathroom
Just stayed for 1 night to break up an 8 hour drive but was a really decent hotel, excellent value for money. Plenty of places on Just eat/Deliveroo and free parking.
