Many thanks to reception for patiently answering questions about accessing the heated pool and using the correct wifi password. The heated pool ranges from one metre to 1.4 metres in depth and was refreshing on a cool day outside. The deluxe cabin was spacious, very comfortable bed and furnishings, fully equipped kitchen. Appreciated the Cafe at the front of the park for breakfast. Located across the road from beautiful Barwon River Park with walking and cycling paths. Only a few minutes' drive to Belmont shops and easy to reach central Geelong.
Set among beautiful gum trees, on the banks of the Barwon River, Tasman Holiday Parks - Geelong features 2 swimming pools and a large colorful jumping pillow.

Great facilities for the kids. The Face painter during the school holidays and goodie bags for the kids was an unexpected surprise. Having a coffee van set up a couple of times a day, also great
I do the Ironman event each year. I plan to come back and stay for a holiday lots to see, I love the bats and the Botanical garden. The swim circle thing is excellent although has a strong urine smell near the facilities.
Lots of paths for cycling and the Barwon river has an excellent walking track all along. Great place for active people.
If you're into food then you're in for a treat, lots of cafe and restuarants offering a great range of quality foods. I had some delicious crepes on the foreshor.

Geelong city is a very nice place.
Geelong city is a very nice place. It has a long fresh air beach with a lot of seagulls flying around and basking in the sun. It is a city for people who love running and cycling. A city where you can come back to nature with many kinds of birds such as Cockatoos, Magpies...

I stayed the night as I was catching the Spirit of Tasmania early the following morning. I would have been very happy to have spent longer to explore Geelong. Where I stayed was very convenient, quiet and easy walking distance to restaurants.

Melbourne without the crowds.
Melbourne without the crowds. There are some great restaurants and cafe's in Geelong but without having to deal with the crowds of Melbourne. If you want to go to Melbourne we got a train which was easy and comfortable and took around 50 minutes. Great wineries nearby and if you want a day trip Great Ocean Road or Otway National Park are within a couple of hours drive.
Well we clearly asked for a front water-facing room in the booking.com app. But they gave us a poor view room, on the side, where only apartment rooms were visible. I paid 390 something for this room to see the water from my room. However, the other hotels were cheaper by $150 and could have saved this money to spend somewhere else, may be in food and fuel.
I generally use booking.com for hotel bookings but i have seen if we make some requests in the app hotel staff doesn't value that request, this has happened to me a couple of times.
It took me back to when my parents used to take us on trips. It's a beautiful old fashioned motel and is one of the cleanest and loveliest we have seen in a very long time. Management is so friendly and if want to know what's on in Geelong he is the go to man. The location is perfect it's walking distance to Rippleside beach and restaurants. It's serviced daily and is so clean. Highly recommend this property and the management. Ten out of the ten.
This was my second stay in two months for a week of uni. The apartment is lovely and the owner has thought of everything you could need to be self contained. It's in a great location along the waterfront, and right next to Deakin uni. The restaurants,Westfield shopping centre and beach front are all so close. A car park is included which is brilliant as parking is hard to find in Geelong and you won't need your car staying here.
Brand new hotel. Room was well designed, the bathroom particularly so. Minimalist decor but pops of colour were attractive. I would recommend a stay for business or leisure. Maestro restaurant a pleasant ambience and good food. Breakfast had a good range. Public areas such as foyer and lift were sparkling clean. All staff were courteous, helpful and keen. Close to main amenities in Geelong.
Everything!! From the top notch customer service and friendly staff, to the amazing breakfast buffet and the fine dining experience. Can’t forget about the pool area. super relaxing and the outside amenities where outstanding.
I will 100% rebook with Rydges next time in in Geelong and will check out their other hotels around Aus.
10/10 all round.
We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. Nicely decorated, full kitchen and laundry facilities in room. Very comfortable stay and great location across from the waterfront. Close to all amenities like restaurants and Westfield Geelong in walking distance. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great location - it's close to the shops, some decent restaurants, the water and other appealing parts of Geelong. Having a balcony was awesome because we could get fresh air and see the bay. The room was really clean and had lots of space. Parking onsite was awesome too!
The location was unbeatable - right on the waterfront! It was great having off street secure parking available. The apartment was equipped with most everything you could need for your stay. Visiting Geelong was a pleasure - the waterfront is so family friendly.
It was new, modern, clean and in a great location. It was quiet, and the hosts were lovely. This is a great place for a night or two away, or if you have to stay and work in Geelong for a period of time.
The staff were very friendly and helpful both days on check-in and check-out. I experienced the best check-in process in Australia. The hotel is well maintained and the location is great.
The location is great, many cafes and restaurants are walking distance from the hotel and it is across the road to the waterfront. Beds were very comfy and the room was a very good size.
Excellent hotel with new high quality fixtures and fittings in room. Comfortable bed. Very clean. friendly helpful staff. Good location in the Botanical gardens. Very central to Geelong.
A beautifully renovated and spacious studio. Fantastic bathroom, central location. We stayed after returning on the ferry from Devonport, much nicer than a standard hotel room!
The price was doubled for a Saturday night compared to Sunday night. Absolute robbery. Cheaper to stay at a Melbourne CBD hotel for the same night. Disgusting greed.
The location was good. Staying a little further meant the accommodation was cheaper which we liked. We didn’t mind the walk to many of Geelong’s attractions.
