The setting is beautiful, and the staff at the main reception and restaurant were very polite . The lounge had some lovely views and the beds were very comfortable, the room and bathroom were larger than expected - we choose the budget option twin room and expected a shoebox sized place, yet the room was spacious and had everything we needed. It was a very travel-able distance to the Burghley Horse Trials, which is what we came there for.

The Old Rectory had everything I like - a lovely house, warm and spacious room, delightful and welcoming host, a dog, good breakfast, beautiful village, unusual church, rural location. And it is very good value.

It was perfect! I had a very comfortable and cosy stay. The owners are so friendly, and the property is in a lovely quiet village right off the A1. It was beautifully decorated, there was fresh milk for a cup of tea and the bed was very comfortable. A real home away from home! They had everything you could need.
