The Cross Inn was fine for what it was. We didn’t find it to be ‘amazing’ or ‘exceptional’ as other reviewers did. It was clean but the beds weren’t comfortable. It was nice to be able to step out the door and explore the quaint historic town of Hepteonstall and Hepton Bridge. We would recommend The White Lion restaurant a few doors up the block.

The location was great, short walking distance from shops, pubs and transport. The apartment was modern, clean, well laid out and warm for cool spring weather. Great to have a washing machine, dryer and clothes rack, as well as full kitchen facilities.

Lovely Cosy and welcoming pub, hearty and tasty choice of food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Our nervous dog was made very welcome and we loved the log burners! Lovely but fairly undulating walk to Hardcastle Crag on the doorstep. A perfect relaxing weekend.

Such a lovely host who accommodated our early arrival time, getting the room ready and giving us a key and car permit. The breakfast in bed was unexpected and unreal, very very yummy eggs. Extremely good location right near everything you could need for a brilliant day out in Hebden Bridge.

The room was very nice and in a great location except there is no place to park. It would have been nice if the owners would have let us know where they are located so we could have asked questions. I had written to ask about parking and did not receive an answer. I was able to figure out where to park but dropping off my 85 year old mom and luggage was tricky. You can not even stop there for a minute! Great place for young people who just want to be left alone. It did not include breakfast but I knew that. They have the place fixed up really cute and it would be great if you had taken the train there. (Probably not with an 85 year old because you still need to carry luggage a ways.)

The house was spacious and comfortable. Two beautifully decorated bedrooms, a spacious, well-equipped kitchen and a bright lounge with a huge sofa to sink into. Luxury bathroom. It's only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Hebden Bridge and seconds from a well-stocked supermarket. We loved it.

The loveliest place, cant believe I have never been before. Full of quirky and independent shops.
Be prepared to walk slightly out of the centre to ensure you visit all the little streets.
Really good food and drinks good bars and a theatre.
Ate at the Greek restaurant Ayasophia? I think it was called,(up some stairs in centre of town) and would definetley reccomend.

Quaint and beautiful little market town - delightful!
Quaint and beautiful little market town - delightful! Has a lot of personality, and is a perfect little get-away from the metropolis of Manchester. There were excellent little cafes and restaurants. My favourite was 'Leila's Kitchen'. Also, the old cinema was charming and wonderful. Excellent for walking, too. Surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.

Hebden Bridge is picturesque and set in a wonderful location. Most of the shopping area is paved over and is accessible .
There are many shops to wander about in and plenty of cafes for refreshments and a lovely cake shop with the old favourites for sale.
Also there are plenty of places to eat in the evening a choice of Italian Greek and Indian to name a few. Ha Ha but we opted for Dominos.

A beautiful and relaxing place.
A beautiful and relaxing place. There is plenty to do, whether you want to sit and have a quiet drink, eat out or go for walks.
There are also lots of buses to help you explore the surrounding areas and it is a straight bus journey to see where the Brontes lived - I didn't realise in time that bus trip was possible but if you ask any of the very friendly people in Hebden Bridge, they will give you all the details you need.
There really is something for everyone there.

Vibrant town with lovely canal and river features.
Vibrant town with lovely canal and river features. A lot of coffee houses/cafes and interesting, independant shops. Some lovely tame geese live outside of the church next to the co-op. Quite a cosmopotitan feel with friendly townsfolk. There is a bohemian aspect to the town but not as much as I expected. Favourite pub was the Fox and goose, a community run pub, really friendly!
An excellently equipped little underdwelling in a quiet location, yet within walking distance of Hebden Bridge centre. The hosts personal touches really make this property feel like a home from home. There is a path right opposite the front door that eventually takes you right up to Hardcastle Crags, and it can be made into a little loop for a morning dog walk.
A whole house for the same price as a hotel…what’s not to love.
The friendly, efficient & professionalism of staff nothing was an issue, food was fab breakfast & both evening meals were excellent a great choice available+selection of wines & ales, only issues was bedroom was a little uneven floor wise due to building age 200+, still decorated to a high standard, but heck if that's all!! they do a great job, would stay again as great location+free parking loved our stay
The cottage was clean and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. We loved the decor in the home and it was easy to communicate with the owner to arrange payment and understand the instructions to access the house. It really was great value for money and I'd love to visit again, Hebden Bridge is an excellent town and taxis were fairly easy to book as the cottage is slightly outside of Hebden Bridge.
A comfy bed that looked out onto the Autumn trees.A reading 'nook'.colourful walls.the dolls' furniture! Radiators and fire provided speedy warmth. Onattention to details.coffee, wine and honesty bar.books.near the river.very close to all amenities.Easy communication with Ellie. Big info file for everything we would ever need.
Really fabulous place - very close to the Main Street in Hebden Bridge but without any noise / passing traffic etc., Communication in advance had been good and we just felt completely at home as soon as we walked through the door. Tea, coffee and milk had been left for us even though we were only staying for one night.
Just a fantastic location with parking. Great for taking my Dad who is 82 out to Cross Stone and Heptonstall to do the family tree. He loved walking round Hebden Bridge going to all the places he went to as a boy. Tracy was excellent everything was where the instructions said it would be. Great stay we’ll be back.
The house is in a quiet and pretty area. It's well equipped, with nice decoration and near to a big supermarket. It has nice views, you can see the mountains and the neighbor's geese walking around.
Hebden Bridge is a lovely place in West Yorkshire, well communicated with other towns and cities by train.
Lovely accommodation in a beautiful little village with a definite timeless feel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, we were in room 4 which was on the small side but all very clean with a comfortable bed. Bus stop within 2 min walk and reliable regular service into Hebden Bridge centre.
I booked a room for myself for one night in down season so I could meet ex colleagues that night.
I can very much appreciate that this would be a good hostel. It seems well put together. Clean and organised.
Good location in town but quiet, and has carparking. Not common in Hebden Bridge.
Location of this place was perfect for getting into Hebden Bridge - just under a mile away which did not take us long to walk and a nice walk along the canal. Lovely place for a couple. We had a weekend of walking planned so was perfectly located.
Excellent little place with great facilities, host and centrally located. The apartment was very clean and with some lovely touches that really made it feel homely.
Very handy for walks and spending time in central Hebden Bridge.
This isn’t a hotel room it’s like having your own little house, brilliant facilities and the decor is a nice blend of old and new. located minutes from everything Hebden Bridge has to offer. Highly recommend
clean simple friendly accommodation. really nice staff. Granddaughter loved sleeping in upper floor of room.
vehicle parking which was great on a busy bank holiday weekend
As the saying goes “I’ll be back”
Convenient location for town. Car parking on the road. Cosy and spacious. Mostly well equipped kitchen (you need a wooden spoon!). Easy to access and collect keys.
