Very steep hill to climb so not ideal for the unfit or physically challenged. But if you can manage the climb it’s worth it for the variety of tea rooms pubs stores and historical sites. Definitely merits an overnight stay to get the after tourist hours atmosphere!
What upset us all the money goes on the museum no money on the church or graveyard, church is looking for £400.00 er why, haworth is scruffy again why. Big tourist destination when I was there 4 coach loads of Chinese and Japanese turned up, shameful
The walks along the Yorkshire moores are breathtakingly beautiful. You can lose yourself there and take a break from everyday life. The Bronte story is also very captivating and the museum is fascinating with an amazing collection for literature fanatics.
Such interesting history of the Brontes. I enjoyed the parsonage and museum. The area is beautiful. Some of the shops were not open, as I guess it is still too early in the season, so that was a bit of a disappointment. But the ones that were open were interesting and friendly. I would have liked to do the circular trail that takes you past Bronte falls and the old house that is said to have inspired the house in Wuthering Heights, but it had rained for days prior to my visit, and the path was a muddy bog, no fun for hiking! I hope to do this path another time.
“Great breakfast and super friendly staff. Maybe the best located guest house ever with three pubs in stumbling distance. Bronte attractions on the doorstep and the wild and windy moors minutes away. Love Haworth.”
“Perfect location: the hotel is located close to a number of shops and tea spots. It's also a short walk to bus stop and parsonage. The food was delicious, and the view from my room was amazing!”
“Atmospheric building and surroundings. Spotlessly clean. Helpful, pleasant staff. Nice 20 mins walk to Haworth High Street.”
“Lovely stay! My single room was beautifully comfortable, with a fantastic view snugly behind double glazing. The room was clean, warm, and welcoming, with small touches like biscuits, nice magazines, and good tea especially welcome. The bathroom was small but modern and functional. The staff were friendly and the meals were genuinely delicious. It could not be more perfectly located if you are in Haworth for Bronte literary tourism.”
“The duplex apartment is HUGE and so comfortable! It's like being in your home, not in a hotel. Everything is thought of - extra blankets, dishes and pots/pans, especially love the touch of having bread, butter, tea, coffee, and milk already waiting so we didn't have to run out to the store right away!”
