Experience the north of England's most iconic resort destination. Set within a beautiful 365 acre estate on the County Durham and North Yorkshire border, Rockliffe Hall boasts one of the largest spas in the country, an 18 hole championship golf course and award-winning food. I will start off by rating the view and location of the hotel; the view you would wake up to no matter where your room is was breathtaking. Looking out the window was enough to ease your mind to start a wonderful morning. Moving on to the staff; they were very kind, understanding, and helpful during our stay. They always welcomed us with warm smiles and asked about how your stay was going whenever they had the chance to! ALL the staff there were exceptional especially William,Donna,Keith, and the Thailandi lady whom i didnt have the chance to read her name off her name tag. If i could mention all their names i would. Breakfast was amazing It had a variety of options and you could ask for meals that weren’t in the menu as long as they had their ingredients. Would totally recommend giving it a try

Excellent variety at breakfast and lovely restaurant area. Didn’t get to use the bar area but feel sure would have been a very relaxing place to visit. The bathroom had everything you needed and a very good space. Plenty of good parking places.
The room was fantastic, with plenty of space. The view is excellent, we honestly felt so relaxed. The decor and style is so lovely, modern and clean. Countryside is amazing. The breakfast was self served buffet and was more than enough choice.
Beautiful spacious rooms. It was so peaceful and relaxing. A wonderful breakfast selection to choose from. Home-made sausages were delicious
Sparkling clean, beautiful room and beautiful food. All staff were amazing looked after us the whole weekend. Hot tub and sauna in the room was fabulous. We didn’t want to leave!
The quietness of the room. The efficiency and friendliness of staff on check in. Cleanliness. Quality of breakfast. The open relaxed feeling of the coffee lounge and dining areas. Spacious room.
Hot tub and sauna and breakfast was lovely
The hotel has a very good location. My upgraded room(s) had a nice view of the river and Cathedral. The breakfast is very good and you can order extra items such as omlette and French toast. There is also a health club with sauna, spa etc that has unfortunately fallen off its previous standard.
Breakfasts were lovely. Staff were great. Pool was warm, but jacuzzi was broken. Spa area was beautifully hot and the steam room was extremely hot - so good! Almost as hot as the saunas in Austria and Germany! Probably the best one I have experienced in the UK! The sauna was normal UK temperature though - I would have liked this to be hotter like traditional European saunas.
Beautiful grounds. Very relaxed atmosphere. Loved the spa eatery and bar. So relaxing. Staff pleasant. Had a massage in spa was fab. Modern rooms. I booked deluxe double spa room so gown and slippers were provided . Pool sauna etc were great
Fantastic stay, very relaxing, lovely large room with garden view, food was beautiful we dined at the fusion and breakfast was lovely the following morning! Very clean hotel, lots of bars and food areas to choose from, & very clean! Spa was lovely, massage very relaxing followed by the quiet room with a fresh water! overall, amazing and would definitely return!
