Looking out to sea over Broadstairs’ Viking Bay, the Royal Albion has a magnificent location, on the seafront, yet also close to the heart of the town.

The Royal Albion was originally built in 1760 and Charles Dickens was a regular visitor. The famous Bleak House, Dickens’ home in Broadstairs, is within sight.

We had a lovely room overlooking the beachfront. The room was really nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly and I would recommend this hotel for a weekend treat.

Very nice and stylish hotel with good location - not so far from city centre but quite quiet. We had a sea view room on the top floor and it was worth it. You can see sea from your bed. Stuff was nice and polite.

Great location! Close to Margate city centre but not the best part was a 30sec walk to nearest beach! Which was the best as well as it was dog friendly beach. Apartment has everything what you need plus a lovely, cosy garden. Alexa was a nice addition

Original juke box.. use of garden/patio, cactus city, unusual paintings throughout, city centre location - couldn’t get closer! Car park options to suit all, owner Paul the most helpful, pleasant and a delight to talk to, host ever! we’ll be back!!

We found the location was convenient for walking to the city centre but it was quite noisy at night. We didn’t realize that it wasn’t located on the beach but instead on the other side of the main road. The bed was very comfortable but the bathroom was extremely small. Further, our room was located on the fifth floor and there wasn’t an elevator. Thankfully we only had a couple of bags.

Hotel scrupulous clean, extremely comfortable, toiletries provided really fantastic. Excellent free WiFi and superb decor for a budget hotel. The proprietor,Darlington went above and beyond and came the rescue of two stranded travellers in one of the most severe weather storms, storm Eunice. I'm in the hospitality industry and would regard this hotel as being an exemplary template for affordable, high standard hotels. Location to train station, sea-front and town centre within a stones through. Magic.
