Located in the center of Margate, both apartments are located above Buoy and Oyster restaurant. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The location was brilliant being just across the promenade from the beach. The bay window gave us great views of the beach and of an evening, the magnificent sunsets. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The little extras (tea, coffee, cereals and condiments) that were provided were greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend this place.

Such a gorgeous room! Great location in walking distance to everywhere you need to go in Margate including the train station. We stayed for breakfast the next morning which was delicious too, the cafe was filled with plants had a great tea and food menu, beautiful jute cushions and artwork filled walls. I will definitely be booking again. Staff were great and really welcoming and friendly.
Reputation for being hip misses the mark, Margate is still up and coming and much of it is a bit grim and uninviting . A poor mans Brighton. Overrated for its coolness, set expectations which it did not live up to
I would spend one day walking in the old town going to Museum, seem Old house, Caves, and another day swimming at Walpole Bay and walk or running to Botany Bay. You need at least two whole days to spend there.
This is difficult, one persons love is anothers hate. Margate is doing a lot to improve itself. The old town is an arty enclave of galleries, cafes vintage clothing and antique shops. There are lots of nice touches of flower beds and notice boards giving historical information all around the town and of course there is the Turner Contemporary, the Tudor House, the caves etc. for better times. Also there is still the area of amusement arcades, Dreamland traditional 60's and 70's vibe along the sea front. There appears to be enough to attract the girls in their 20's 'two bottles of prosecco is a good start' in another section of town. On the uphill seaward side there are smashing cliff top walks with views over the channel for bird watching, boat watching etc. Yes Margate still has its run-down bits but work is still going on to improve it and I think people with memoris of Margate 25 years ago would be pleasantly surprised. I would say its definitley worth a short stay.
Margate is a run down dirty location with many empty and derelict properties. Lack of decent places to stay, eat, drink. Felt unsafe walking around a lot of drunk and drugged up locals about. I will never return has put me off the Kent coast.
We love Margate, usually we only have day trips so it was nice to be able to stay over and enjoy the great micropubs (you must visit Fez and Harbour Arms!) It's also home to some of our favourite vegan eateries, Seaside Kitchen & Cake Parlour and Master Foody Moodys (and Beet Bar when it reopens). We also love to mooch about the vintage and antique shops in the old town. It's such a lovely place to hang out.
This is a lovely town, diverse in visitors and very tourist friendly without being overwhelming. Good amenities and a well kept, clean, sandy beach. I was cat called by some drive by idiots a few times but nothing too scary!
