Breakfast was hearty to start the day, Dinner was very good with good prices, room was very clean and roomy, and plenty of parking with secure lighting. Great location to accomplish several short day trips in the area like seeing the Canterbury Cathedral, a restored Viking ship near Ramsgate. and a medieval castle like Dover Castle.

Location and rooms and stuff perfect

History of the building was amazing. Staff was so kindly. Breakfast was excellent.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the privacy of our cottage, the well-equipped kitchen, and the comfortable bathroom. The house was tidy and clean, making it a great base for visiting London and exploring Canterbury.

A real Downton Abbey! Wonderful building with history and great staff to handle the guests. Rooms are comfortable, clean and relaxing.

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

It had the exact vibe I wanted from a small town inn and was probably one of the highlights of my trip to the UK. I could picture the Bennetts living in a small estate like this. They kept the historic charm yet had modern-day conveniences worked into the decor. The gardens were gorgeous, the breakfast was amazing, the bathroom was squeaky clean, and the whole feel was cozy.

The room was wonderful with lots of character. We are used to American hotel chains, and the different style of room from the regular hotel layout is a welcome change! The place was very close to the high street and anything else we wanted to visit in Canterbury, and there was a tesco nearby for us to do any grocery shopping we needed to do. It was also a short walk through a lovely park to get to the train station.

Location. The room was perfect. Menu was superb. Outdoor patio was very comfortable and relaxing

Fantastic room, luxurious bed, beautiful decor and a brilliant shower. The pub itself is great, food was delicious and nice friendly staff. I was dissapointed in myself for not getting up early enough to try their cooked breakfast. I will blame the bed for this!

Wonderful cottage very tastefully renovated, gorgeous picturesque village and the convenience of a wonderful pub next door

Great location, lovely and clean

Such a quaint country pub, great atmosphere, fantastic food

The location was so convenient: only 5 minutes walk to the city center/Westgate. The communication with the host, Chris, was excellent from start to finish. He was very welcoming and helpful. The house was very quirky and charming.

A perfect place to stay! Centrally located yet very quiet. Tastefully decorated, exceptionally well-equipped, clean and extremely comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully provided, making our stay easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Absolutely everything about this place. It was perfect from start to finish.

Location great, Nice little apartment perfect for a short stay. Host very friendly and helpful, would defiantly stay again.

Super easy to check in, within great proximity to town. Lovely colourful property full of games and the added bonus of the games room at the end of the garden was fantastic. Host very responsive too when we couldn't locate bedding!

It was the perfect one bedroom flat in a fabulous location to everything in Whitstable. Quiet, pretty neighborhood. The bed was so comfortable and the flat itself was very clean and nicely decorated.

Breakfast was excellent. Lovely grounds and great history. I suspect that the main business of this hotel was as an events venue. For midweek visitors it was delightful.

Very old building, well preserved. Very nice updated bathroom. Wonderful restaurant downstairs. Staff were Excellent!!

Comfy & quiet room. Decent options for breakfast and very helpful staff.

The room was immaculate, and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was also spotless. The staff where exceptionally polite and made us feel very welcome. The food was incredible, we had dinner and breakfast, the dinner was one of the best meals I have had in years, and I could not fault the breakfast at all. 10/10, we will stay again and I would definitely recommend to others.

Very friendly family staff that invited us to buy a few beers and use the tables, even though they were closed for service on a bank holiday.
