It was a privilege to know Frosso and her team and the service they have provided throughout my trip. We were picked up from the port and also dropped back and the hospitality is at its best. I’m sure Mykonos was incredible years ago. Its still amazing and beautiful but there are far too many tourists The cruise ships pour thousands of people in daily and its bulging ,you can hardly move walking through the streets, the plumbing doesn’t cope ,you have to buy bottled water the plastic that uses is immense. Its beautiful the water is gorgeous but for me i felt claustrophobic and the prices are crazy.
The people in Greece are so very charming and fun to be with. The food us always off the chart good, even in mediocre places. Values still good in real local places, avoid touristy places. Beaches wonderful. Not handicapped friendly, lots of steps. Bad traffic on most roads. Use buses when you can. Lots of crowds in mid June would have gone mid may to avoid them next trip. We went to Ornos beach, nice, small and very family friendly. Would stay in Ornos next trip. Pasaji Restaurant very nice, great beach facilities. Be sure your hotel has easy access from roadway, otherwise you will be dragging bags around in a very hilly environment, no good! Pack light regardless, they have Laundromats with full service, talk 1/2 of what you think you need, trust me! You be a lot happier if you do... Stay away from Andromeda Residence, poor value for the money.
Great city! But don’t get it twisted you need some money to be there. Like Gucci and Fendi everyday kinda money. The roads are terrifying, take the shuttle to party beaches. Paradise is the best party beach that pops off around 6:00. Worth a couple days visit if you like to party but if you don’t I would recommend Santorini for site seeing.
We LOVED Mykonos for the food and bustling city. The beaches are stunning and the people are very friendly and accommodating. We stayed at the Santa Marina for most of our stay. I can only say that other than being pricey it was WORTH every cent!! Nammos beach was a disappointment to us. They charge 120euros for 2 chairs and an umbrella. We were told there would be a beach DJ which never happened and it closed at 5pm. Maybe because it was off season but we were misinformed and felt ripped off.
I loved it so much it’s a beautiful island. I love the host she so nice she took me from the airport and droppede to location showed me everything and dropped me back to the airport for free. A very nice lady and down to earth would love to do it again.
Cute little island for partying with other tourist. It is very beautiful- however just be aware everything is geared towards tourists. It is also expensive but I had a blast and would do it again! Locals are very nice and accommodating. English is spoken everywhere:-) If your stuck between staying in downtown close to little Venice vs beach resort- i would recommend little Venice. You can always take a bus to the beach parties but a lot more to do in downtown.
