Hotels near Bari Karol Wojtyla Airport - BRI, Bari

The main reason for visiting Bari was seeing where Santa Claus is buried—the Basicila San Nicolas!!! Old town Bari was very nice. A olive oil festival with music was an unexpected treat while we were exploring .

This was an awful experience. I arranged to check-in at 2 pm. There was no one at the unit to meet me. I had to wait several hours in the street and at a nearby restaurant. Finally, the owner opened the doors to the property and left the keys on a table. The room was cold and dark. The wifi didn't work. I could not locate clean towels and found wet towels in the dryer. I contacted the owner and asked him to meet me on the property to review the problems. He refused. I asked for help for arranging a taxi to the airport. He refused. Finally, after 5 hours spent trying to contact the owner and meet with him, I had enough and checked into a nearby hotel. I requested a partial refund from the owner which he refused to allow. My most disappointing booking on Booking.com.

It was right next to the airport so if you have a flight in the morning it is perfect. There is a pizza shop just down the street. Also a very excellent price for what you get. The host was awesome and kept in contact with us. He even gave us a free ride due to check in misunderstanding on my part. Then he offers a really cheap ride to the airport is was a perfect place to stay. Great value and great service.

Santo Spirito is a small fishing town that got somewhen incorporated into Bari and is a mere 15 minutes by commuter train from the city centre of Bari. While pleasant and with a nice little harbour it is not an area with any attractive beaches at all. However, it suited us well as a strategic starting point to explore the region.

The accommodation is a bedroom and bathroom in a 10 story apartment block and is not a standard B&B. Locating the place is a nightmare and the photo of Bari Palese does not in any way reflect what the building actually is. Also the photos of our room showed a sofa, storage space, table and chairs etc. This is not the room we ended up in. I would strongly suggest that you reclassify this accommodation as it's very misleading. Also the owner tried to pressurize me into giving a rating of 10 on your website. I can not believe that you have given a rating of 8.3 and 3***. On reading other reviews, numerous people have complained and some have been locked out and other guests are victims of double bookings We also had some angry exchanges with the owner by telephone when trying to locate the accommodation. He did not want to entertain us in conversation and referred us to Google Maps. Basically saying to us He had our money and could not give a damn whether we found it or not. It was a stressful experience and you, Booking.com are partly responsible for that

A pleasant place to feel the local vibes. People are very friendly and ready to help only almost no one speaks English 🙂. Il Gabbiano Bar Gelateria has stolen our hearts) Very authentic, a good place to watch the local life. Cornetti con crema di limone were absolutely perfect. Try once and you will never forget them.
