Located along Grand Anse Beach, Le Relax Beach Resort features a swimming pool, restaurant and bar. There is also a snack-bar and a boutique offering local craft work, jewelry and postcards. Clean, basic and fantastic location right on the beach. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Located on the island of Praslin, surrounded by lush forests and the Indian Ocean, Dhevatara Beach Hotel has spacious accommodations with free WiFi. We where impressed with the service and the installations of the hotel.
Located along Anse Kerlan Beach, Hotel Islander Villa offers creole styled bungalows with a private terrace. It also features a tour desk. Praslin Island Airport is 2.5 mi away. Next to beach. You can view beautiful sunset from the property.
Oasis Hotel Restaurant & Spa is located at Grande Anse on Praslin Island. The 3-star hotel features an outdoor pool with water feature and is a short walk from the beach. A superb situation - very close to an excellent beach for swimming.
nice island diving good ( white tip divers at Paradise Island resort - very nice - 95 for double dive, directly form the beach in the water and out again) beaches and restaurants are nicer than in Mahe Park ( 20 Euro per Person) definitely not worth it - walk through a Plantation of Palme Trees ( longest walk 3 hours - 2 km - took us 20 min)
Anse Lazio is world class, as well as the Valee de Mai. Lovely sights, especially in the northern tip of the island, but beware of taking paths through the forest, as it is not well indicated. I got lost for a couple of hours, it was not a pleasant experience at all...People are kind in general, but the airport is not that well managed. I arrived two hours beofre departure, but was refused to be checked in as the rule is one hour before. All in all highly recommendable, with some caveats.
No major hotels or highrisers. The public transportation system is great, no rental car needed. Cote d'Or is magnificent. It's relaxed and quiet outside the major Holidays. The boat ride from/ to Mahe and la Digue is an adventure in itself as well.
Praslin is a good destination - smaller and quieter than Mahe, but offering more facilities than La Digue. Sea swimming is better, particularly close to the hotel. Sea swimming is varied in the Seychelles, frequently there are lovely bays but have shallow depths, so swimming is difficult. Praslin has good sea swimming at the Grande Anse, and at Lazio Bay, the latter being a superb beach but with strong currents at times.
Gorgeous nature! Such a magical place. Lazio really is a stunning beach not to be missed. The coco de mer grove in Vallee de Mai park is also really wonderful. There are buses that run all over the island, but we rented a car, a must, I think, if you want to sight-see aggressively. We were in Praslin 5 days and La Digue 4, and personally I would have rather stayed on La Digue the extra day, but it was a glorious vacation & I have no complaints.
A most beautiful island with pristine beaches and lush vegetation. Some of the roads can be somewhat challenging if you're not used to it... A good number of high standard self catering villas/apartments and very decent eateries throughout the island.
