Located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, just a minutes' walk from the main street of Angaston, Barossa White House, The West Wing features a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the large garden. Alicia & Anthony were great hosts, they checked in on us all the time and were greatly organised with their suggestions of where we could visit and eat and drink. Place was clean and safe and comfortable, we even had access to a living room with a HUGE TV. Property was in a really convenient locale with short drives to the cellar doors. Only have good things to say about them. Greatly enjoyed our stay in Barossa.

Each room at this bed and breakfast is air conditioned and is fitted with a flat-screen TV.... Attention to detail was perfect. The warm welcome to the heated towel rails to name but two things... Supplies were very generous including bottles of wine from the owner's vineyard. Located within walking distance of Angaston and close to the vineyards of the Barossa. A lovely place to recharge the batteries.
Attractive rural location with a selection of places to eat. Easy access to the produce market just outside of Angaston (Sat), wineries and other Barossa towns like Tanunda and Nurioopta. Close to a bike track that wends it's way through the Barossa if you're into cycling.
Angaston is a quiet little town with very relaxing atmosphere. Coffee shops, hotels, wineries and other interesting cottage industry type businesses all provide a pleasant experience to while away a weekend or longer within easy travel distance from Adelaide
Beautiful and historical little town, a drive up to the nearby lookout at sunset is a MUST! As is a trip to Schultz Butchers for some cured meats. The buildings are just stunning, if you enjoy walking and appreciating some historical and beautiful architecture then this is the spot for you :-)
Just lurv Angaston, so peaceful...ahhh...how's the serenity!...seriously!...Went to Lambert Estate, wow, what a great selection of wines they have there & the tasting was just marvellous, this place is really going to send me broke! :)...Whilst there went to Roaring 40's, they do awesome pizzas, you won't be disappointed. Went to the local bakery there Sun Rise, oh, everything there is just super fresh & yum!...so long Angaston!...see you again real soon!
The local restaurants provide great food and personal service. The location makes it an easy drive to most wineries in the Barossa. We are from Sydney and embraced the quiet weekend and no traffic jams.We walked along the beautiful memorial park, perused many interesting and historic buildings. There's a lovely cheese shop, an award winning pizzeria and Thai (authentic) restaurant that are quite popular.
Excellent location. Close to other Barossa towns, wineries, produce market. Good cafes for coffee, light meals. Didn't try the Thai restaurant. Not many other shop options unfortunately. No bookshop, few offerings for clothes, but there is a supermarket.
The heating was already on when we arrived. Immediately felt comforted! Front outside lights were also on which was a huge help as it was a dark winter's afternoon when we arrived. The grand proportions of the house were fantastic. Bedrooms were cosy and had plenty of storage space. Great communal areas with choices to have your own space when desired. Well equipped and large kitchen. Great views from the decked verandah. Excellent location -easy to get to Angaston and other places in the Barossa.
We loved our stay at Walnut Cottage. The breakfast provisions provided were fantastic - farm fresh eggs, local bacon, tomatoes, yoghurt, juice, milk, bread (standard and gluten free). Sue even leaves you a treat of home made fudge - delicious. The main street of Angaston was a five minute walk away. There were many delightful shops, including the Barossa Cheese shop and the Blonde Coffee cafe.
The cottage, and the way it is presented was absolutely charming - including fresh bush flowers provided through out. The hosts provided so many thoughtful touches, including fresh food items and a bottle of Barossa wine. The home was very comfortable and clean, views out over the vineyards, beautiful sunset. Spa bath was also a bonus.
Fabulous cottage, cosy and warm with a log fire, just the thing for cold winter evenings. Supplies were very generous including bottles of wine from the owner's vineyard. Located within walking distance of Angaston and close to the vineyards of the Barossa. A lovely place to recharge the batteries.
We had an amazing stay at Bluebird cottage and will definitely stay again next time we're in the area. Jim and Jeanette were extremely accommodating, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had the best stay in Angaston. Thanks again for a memorable weekend!
Great location for Barossa market and visiting Angaston. This is an old style motel, and quite old inside the rooms. However, it is clean, the Queen sized bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. For us it suited our purpose at a bargain price.
Cute cottage with all of the amenities you need! The host was helpful and responsive! We stayed here while exploring the Barossa region and wine tasting. The town is small but cute.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable and only a short walk to Angaston central. The hosts are right next door and were helpful and friendly.
The bed, although described as too hard by some reviewers, for me was just right. And who wouldn't love Angaston in the autumn?
Very stylish and clean. Welcoming hosts. Angaston a gorgeous town and I enjoyed my stroll.
