What Guests Said About Coolum Beach:

Coolum Beach is a beautiful place.

Coolum Beach is a beautiful place. There is a bus (622) from the Sunshine Airport which is so cheap to catch to Coolum. Runs regularly. Still has a lot of the older type of friendliness you found years ago on the Sunshine Coast. Nice places to eat and a beach like most of the coastline, stunning. Very dog friendly, think every second person is walking their dog.

Coolum beach is a bit quieter than some of the other towns.

Coolum beach is a bit quieter than some of the other towns. The surf club and hotel are nice places to eat, there is not a lot of restaurants there but quite a few take away shops. The beach is beautiful and very clean. There is a nice park at the beach. There is a lot of accommodation at Coolum Beach it is also close to Maroochydore and not far to Mooloolaba. A nice little town is Perigean Beach which is very close to Coolum.

The patrolled beach, a great selection of restaurants...

The patrolled beach, a great selection of restaurants including pub, bowls & surf club, a few bottlos including Dan Murphys and Coles & smaller convenience stores all within a 10 minute walking distance of the resort. The resort itself is family friendly will heated pool, spa, BBQ area, putt-putt and a small play area for kids. The unit we stayed is fully self-contained with kitchen facilities for cooking and normal size fridge if you are happy to eat in and three bedrooms (2 doubles & 2 singles) with a main bathroom and one ensuite. Coolum is a good base to explore other parts of the Sunshine Coast, whether you want to head north to Noosa, out to explore the hinterland such as Eumundi, Yandina, Maleny or head south to Mooloolaba or Caloundra. If you keen for a game of golf, there are plenty of courses in the area and if you are coming from interstate, Sunshine Coast Airport is only 30 minutes from the resort. If you want a nice relaxing family holiday then Coolum Beach is great spot to visit.

    Really don't have any negatives.

Really don't have any negatives. We love that it central to so many places, north and south that are easy to visit and explore. Always fit in a visit to Montville too. We are impressed with the public transport, especially with how reasonable the fares are, compared with our system in Victoria. 6 days was not enough to try half the eateries available, but we were happy with the quality of food at all we did sample.

The stock picture captures it perfectly.

The stock picture captures it perfectly. Long wide beach with lots of room. Water can be a bit rough with strong currents but if you follow the warnings you are fine. If you're not a swimmer, also some nice secluded little inlets where you can have a quiet spot on a secluded beach to watch the world go by and have a paddle.

Beautiful area close to lots of other nice locations. Great beach with flagged area and close by facilities. Several good eating spots and grocery stores easily accessible. Not too busy during the week and fabulous weather.
