The room was sufficient, though on the small side, it is really only for relaxing after a long working day. The Monash campus is conveniently just a short, few minutes walk, and there is a shopping centre just around the corner if you need to grab a bite or pick up some presents.

The receptionists were very friendly and attentive. They respond to all queries and support for any needs. This hotel was close to my school and the Tram 75 route.

Opulent furnishings with a general sense of grandeur.
Opulent furnishings with a general sense of grandeur. Room was well appointed with generous seating, comfortable bed and modern bathroom.
An internal room facing the courtyard would have more than likely been quieter but we were given one facing a busy street..
A very good dining room is located on the property which offered a very reasonably priced breakfast option. Would stay again.

I liked the size of the room and furniture made it a comfortable place to stay for more than one night. It is close to Forrest hills shopping Center if you like that experience. There are other smaller strips of shops a short car ride away if you want to avoid the huge Center ,places to purchase snacks etc. If noise was a problem ,next to busy road , you could pay more to face treed area and back terrace.
It’s a light breakfast and currently restaurant has not reopened. An excellent place to stay as I had a hire car.

A beautiful hotel, just didn't stay long enough to fully appreciate all it had to offer. The admin staff were lovely on arrival changing our room without hesitation when we mentioned we did not have as many staying as initially booked for.

Outside the main City but accessible by train into the centre of Melbourne.
There is a shopping centre around 1Km walking distance. Also Cinema, restaurants etc in that area.
The hotel did take us to the train station in their vehicle. You could walk it, which we did coming back, but its a bit far if you aren't used to walking.

It was a lovely little townhouse.
It was a lovely little townhouse. Needs updating, which apparently they are in the process of. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the location is perfect. Only a 10 minute walk to Forest Hill Chase Shopping Centre.
I will definitely be staying there again next time I visit my son, as he only lives 5 mins drive away.
The fancy old-fashioned style of the hotel is well kept and presented nice and neatly.
Good quality & value for the price; clean and tidy hotel and room & bathroom; location was convenient; parking was readily available; breakfast was satisfactory, on the basic side, which I expected for the price.
Although the room faced the highway I was surprised that I didn’t hear the traffic as loud as I’d expected & it was quite muted.
They hotel were accommodating allowing us to check in earlier than usual as we had to have not long after their usual check in time. Very flexible.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and have stayed at the hotel a number of times. But there's definite ways they could improve the service.
Wonderful old charm in a modern hotel. Very clean, modern functional bathroom, lovely bed. Very good food and table service at the restaurant, very pleased with dinner. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially during covid caused staff shortages.
The hotel is beautiful, both in the lobby and in the rooms. The staff put me in a room close to the elevator, which I really appreciated as I have trouble with stairs at the moment. Very good value for money on the quality of the rooms.
Very friendly and comfy. Felt like a stay with family 😊. Bed was super comfy and it had everything I needed for a one night stay. Short walk/drive to either forest Hill or box Hill shops. Very accommodating on short notice as well!
Most. Just tv outdated as most other hotels have smart tv now but that's fine
Room phone didn't work so couldn't call reception. Have to come to front desk. But this was fine as they are lovely people.
Hotel and rooms may look dated but they are well maintained. Fresh sheets, clean carpet, clean curtains, no musky smell.
The location is fantastic with many eateries options.
The room and bathroom were lovely, comfortable and as you'd expect in a four star hotel. I didn't eat at the hotel so can't give any info in regards to food.
