Jabiru is remote, very little services but perfect for an Outback Experience especially in wet season. Bring strong fly repellant (deet 80+). Petrol station has an excellent stock of most everything, but bring fresh food items if you need them, esky recommended too to save on $ buying too much. Storms were epic, Croc Mercure worth the stay for air cond, pool and service. Sunrise by the lake beautiful as well.

We really enjoyed the Yellow Water cruise at Cooinda it was well worth it. We seen water buffaloes, plenty of crocs and heaps of different birds. It was really interesting and our guide was very knowledgeable.

The rock art was interesting along with the Aboriginal art on display at the hotel. The rivers are teeming with birds and crocs. The journey from Darwin was rather monotonous with little change in the scenery.

Jabiru is a great base for exploring Kakadu.
Jabiru is a great base for exploring Kakadu. I absolutely recommend doing the Yellow Waters sunset cruise one evening and if possible check out Cooinda and the excellent Cultural Centre while you're down that way, visit Ubirr on another evening and attend the free ranger-guided walks, drop in at Nourlangie Rock and check out the art galleries there, head up to Cahills Crossing if you have time - everything is very spread out but within an hour's drive of Jabiru.
Jabiru itself has an excellent Foodtown supermarket which sells cooked food and coffees and a good petrol station too.

it was nice to have a break at the crocodile hotel for a coffee or lunch break.Town has an IGA supermarket if you need to stock up. Also there is mobile reception. Other than that there is nothing to see or do, except for a cafe and art centre

conveniently located for exploring Kakadu national park.
conveniently located for exploring Kakadu national park. rooms were a good size and beds were comfortable but the bathrooms need upgrading and the lighting was poor. staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. dining options were limited but it is a remote location.
The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.
Whilst a lot of the permanent fixtures are outdated the bed was very comfortable.
The restaurant meals are very tasty and the hotel provided very healthy portions. The pizzas were fantastic.
The little bar area was a great place to relax at the end of the day after hiking around Kakadu for the day.
The local artists paintings that the hotel had put on display for sale was exceptional and give a unique opportunity for guests to see such a vast array of art works.
The Bush outlook of the glamping tents was sensational. We had a night of heavy rain and with the barking owls, dingoes, cicadas and other night creatures it was a magical atmosphere. Also the yellow water cruise at dawn was brilliant with buffalo, crocodiles and countless birdlife including the majestic Jabiru spotted. Finally the meals were surprisingly delicious and healthy - good work chef.
Stayed in the Outback Retreat Plus (Glamping) rooms, really clean and comfortable and well presented. The resort overall is great, the pool is fantastic. Was our preferred option over the Crocodile Hotel in Jabiru. Whilst the nightly rate is very high, I have to say it is probably worth it compared to other options in Kakadu.
Quality rooms/cabins. Excellent restaurant/bistro/bar. Two nice saltwater pools. Well drilled, uniformed, polite staff suggests excellent management by Accor. Location perfect for exploring Kakadu. Billabongs within walking distance are an attraction (however trails are not marked or maintained).
The grounds are spacious and the gardens are nice. If you have kids, they'll love the pool. The bistro and bar is quite good with plenty of seating and an acceptable menu. The staff are friendly and efficient. IT's also well located just outside Jabiru. Caravan sites were shady and well laid out.
Great location in Jabiru. Pool was large & great grassy area. Bar & bistro by pool were lovely.
We had a family cabin for 3 teens & 2 adults. Bunk, trundle & queen made it very cosy but we didn’t spend a lot of time inside. Bbq was great. Very clean cabin. Good shower!
Well located in Jabiru, about 30 minutes drive to Ubirr and the same the other direction to Burrungkuy (Nourlangie). Air conditioning in the room worked well, and the large fridge/freezer was also very useful. restaurant in the evening by the pool was lovely for dinner.
The lodge was incredible - it was so great to back to a super comfy bed and cool room after a long day of exploring the wonderful Kakadu. Great location and beautiful facilities. The room had everything we needed including fluffy towels and a fridge.
As has been said. Location great, food great, I had the barramundi for dinner, staff friendly and helpful. Reception stocked w great assortment of books on Kakadu. Pool great.
Pool and having dinner next to pool and going for a swim during dinner...it is hot in NT compared to melb :)
Cabin was comfortable, help reception/office staff
