The tent was spacious and well appointed; had pretty well everything you could ask for and expect from a luxury family-sized experience... better than most hotels that we've stayed at. The amazing thing was how clean the tent was - including all the cups/utensils and bedding. Just brilliant. The AC was quiet and worked well to warm the tent. The claw-foot bath on the decking was beautiful. The beds and bathroom was brilliant, and our 12/16yo actually had fun in the children's nook.

I loved the beautiful art/furnishings everywhere, how cozy the beds were, the soap/shampoo/conditioner provided; the delicious homemade marmalades at breakfast; the cookies/tea/coffee available upstairs; and the extremely clean and spacious room and bathroom. Best of all was meeting the owners, who were warm, knowledgeable, and friendly. I felt like I was staying with a close friend and didn’t want to leave!

Maldon is a beautiful little town with lots of shops open on the weekends. The pub was shut when we were there on the Sunday but have eaten there before and it was lovely. Great place if you're doing the Steam Train from Castlemaine.

We were using it as a stop on our way home from a longer trip. I found the locals wonderful, sad to see some shops empty or closed when we were there so I obviously need a longer stay. Need to check out whats on and when first.

It is unfortunatel that the town has suffered badly with restaurant closures following Covid. Presently there is only one place to have dinner outside of fish/chips and pizza. The shops that are open are very country and fun have a little poke around.

Maldon is a well-preserved historic gold-rush town. Highlights are the town bakery, the vintage train station, the old goldmines and the vintage machine museum. It is located close to Castlemaine and further north to Bendigo.

Staying in Maldon is like stepping back in time, when life was simpler. The shops are more than adequate and have a large selection of antiques shops, to fossick through. There is an IGA supermarket, newsagent and pharmacy in the main street. There is a true sense of community and the locals will always have a chat to you. It would be great if the choice of restaurants and hotels, would be more consistent. I would recommend to prebook, especially for the Easter Festival, but even then unexpected things happen, which leaves you trying to find places to eat. The pubs serve classic pub food. Looking forward to trying Francos Italian restaurant and hoping French restaurant Le Sol, goes back to serving dinners. The Golden Nugget Restaurant in Porcupine Village, serves a delicious, Sunday, roast lunch.

We met up with our adult daughter who shared the room next to ours. We were after character and comfortable accommodation, and that is exactly what we got. Our hosts were around sweeping leaves etc but not being intrusive. The grounds are gorgeous and we watched the kangaroos nearby each morning. Maldon is a gorgeous town and being there for the Easter four day fair, a bonus, and such country fun. Easy drive to Bendigo and caught the Maldon to Muckleford steam train.

The house was beautiful, cozy and spotlessly clean, with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. Jaimie was a very friendly and helpful host. Maldon is a beautiful town with plenty of history that made exploring a lot of fun. An ideal destination for a long, or short holiday. Parker House was a very comfortable place to stay, and I look forward to a return visit soon.

The hospitality when you arrive seeing the food hamper. The personalised service offered by Jaimee and Jamie. The comfortable furnishings and appliances which give Fairbank a homely feel. The spacious layout of rooms and bathrooms. The walking proximity to the main Maldon St. The manicured, relaxing gardens. The fact that Fairbank accepts furry family.

It’s a cute little place, comfortable enough for 2 people. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. This property was a great location for us as we attended a wedding in Maldon, it was 5 mins drive from where we had to go.
