The old charm of this building was beautiful.
It was quite yet a close drive to amenities ( pubs, servo, food and drink) if needed.
There was a coffee shop and dining room on site, however we chose not to use those options.
We received breakfast each morning that consisted of toast and cereal with tea coffee and juice and it was perfect.
The staff we spoke to were lovely and they were happy to help.
Our room had a little ensuite with a shower and toilet and it's all we needed.
Happy to have found this gem and wouldn't mind coming back if we came back up the mountain.

The manager, Lona went above and beyond by making sure we got a special meal mid-afternoon even when the kitchen was closed. Special thanks to the chef.
She saved me at work by finding a spare mouse I could use. Super thankful.
5-star service all the way!

Central heating combined with the wood fire kept us warm, and appreciated the heated bathroom floor on a couple of cold days. Secure and comfortable property for our dog and cats. Excellent communication and responsiveness from hosts. The lovely bath was most welcome, though Mum couldn’t easily access the shower.

A lovely escape to a world easily forgotten, wonderful antiques adorned the guest house and the staff were quite lovely. Yes quite different from your up market city hotels but its quaintness and surrounds were perfect.

Furthest mountain location from Sydney, so a longer journey, but quieter when you get there.
Lots of picturesque view points that are easy to get to. Having your own car will be the best way to see Mount Victoria.
Not many restaurants or cafes nearby, so either cook at home or be prepared to drive back to Blackheath, Leura or Katoomba for wider restaurant choice.
Definitely recommend seeing a movie at Mount Vic Flicks!

Mt Victoria is an unusual destination, not much there apart from the wonderful Victoria and Albert and a few small shops. Lot of buildings are closed or in process of restoration. It is right on the Great Western Highway, so easy to get to. Very close to some my favourite parts of the Mountains, Mt York, Blackheath, Hartley and Little Hartley, etc.

We came on a public holiday weekend so didn't get to see much. We went to RoseyRavelston bookstore experience and had a blast! Driving around Mt Victoria is easy and I highly recommend it for a quick and quiet getaway. There are tonnes of shops nearby in Leura and plenty of local cafes.

Tranquil, clean environment and what a surprise to find a vegan cafe/restaurant in the area 'Moon To Moon Cafe' which I can recommend ever so highly and I'm a *non* vegan. Just that venue and *my* stay at 'Hotel Etico' truly warrant a return.
The staff were extremely helpful as our first room was unsatisfactory. Within minutes of us discussing this problem the matter was resolved and we were moved to another room.
The hotel was in a quiet location and gave us easy access to the places we wanted to visit. Efficient warming facilities in a very old building. Delightful breakfast, supervised by Natasha, included in the tariff. The restaurant was open for dinner on the 2 nights we stayed there and the food was excellent. Compliments to the chef, pastry chef and waiting staff.
The choice for breakfast was perfect. Not too many options. The portion sizes of all meals were so much better than expected. Everything was so fresh and flavoursome.
The dinner and desserts were also superb and the wait & bar staff so friendly, polite and well presented and engaging. Very helpful with food and wine suggestions and local walking advice.
The hotel was beautiful and the rooms so lovely. The original features beautiful. There was plenty of different areas to sit, chat, relax and enjoy a glass of wine.
I recently stayed at a remarkable guesthouse in Mount Victoria and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The guesthouse had a lovely lemony myrtle and musk fragrance, an impeccable level of cleanliness, magnificent decor, and warm hospitality. The breakfasts were incredible, and the location was surrounded by beautiful nature, complete with kangaroos on the lawn. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone seeking a relaxing and peaceful getaway.
This place is a gem, it is a feast for the eyes, so much beauty. The view for the balcony is breathtaking. It is a heritage property that takes you back in time. All the staff are outstanding, we have stayed before and we were so happy to return. There have been lots of improvements made and it just keeps getting better. The continental breakfast was outstanding. We will definitely return and we would highly recommend. A real treat.
One of the best hotels we have ever been! Sparkling clean rooms, amazing interior decor, so much attention to detail in everything, delicious breakfasts included in the room rate and absolutely extraordinary service from the best hosts ever, Paul & Steve, - I have never felt so welcomed! The whole experience was beyond our expectations. We had such a lovely weekend, we will definitely be returning in future.
The a la carte breakfast was amazing. My partner has to take photos of each meal as it came out and the fruit and grains were all fresh and crisp. The decor is straight out of design magazines and the hotel sets a new standard in cleanliness on all surfaces seen! Paul or amazing host was both very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the local area and places to see
A lovely little manor hotel with charm and elegance nestled away in mount Victoria. We went on a unseasonably cold day with our 4 month old and the room was heated for us on arrival, the bed was very comfy, bathrooms newly updated and overall we had a very peaceful and relaxing experience all round. highly recommend.
The hosts were 100% committed to making your stay as nice as possible, heating our pre-race frozen meals and making us feel so at home. The dinner and breakfast were both amazing! My partner and I will absolutely be back next time we are in the Blue Mountains, nowhere else we would want to stay. Thank you so much!
Loved the friendly staff and the warm welcome. The bed was very comfortable; could sleep for aages. Loved the antique furtniture in the general public areas of the hotel. Had a lovely old fashioned at the bar. The room was a bit cold but there was a good panel heater and the electric blanket did a really good job!
Everything was outstanding. The hotel/manor is absolutely beautiful. The food was so fresh and such good quality, we did not expect the included breakfast to be so good. The staff were also very helpful. We are already planning when we can come back to stay again

Lovely heritage style room, with comfortable bed and its own ensuite. Staff were amazing. Even stayed back past their latest checkout time to check us in at 9.30pm. Lovely continental breakfast included. Easy walking distance to Mount Victoria Station.
Everything was perfect and we were very much able to relax and enjoy every minute. It felt like home because of the exceptional effort and love to details from the hotel management.
We had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to coming back.
The location was peaceful. The history and charm of the hotel. The kindness seen towards the disability trainee staff was outstanding. The staff were very helpful and always keen to make sure our stay was pleasant.
The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was delicious! The location was good and parking was free. The rooms had been refurbished but still needed some work to meet hotel standard. thanks
The whole place had the vibe of a huge house rather than a hotel. Felt homely! The history of the place is retained and the staff were exceptional. Very good breakfast...overall very good!
