We spent 5 nights at 31 The Rocks and it was great. It was so peaceful in the bush setting but close enough to town. The accommodation had everything we needed, the beds were comfy (slept in every day) and kitchen facilities were good. The BBQ was very handy. The sunsets each afternoon were wonderful. The hosts were very nice and friendly. Highly recommend.
I just loved Stanthorpe, there is so much to do and see. The main street has some quaint shops with beautiful clothes, shoes, leather bags and jewellery just to name a few and the most amazing local produce which is delicious. All the people in Stanthorpe are so lovely and friendly and happy to guide you to different places and love their town. Heritage Winery is something special - just a step back in time and amazing a must visit. We had dinner one night at the Country Club Hotel (Maryland St) and the steak melted in your mouth, local wines were amazing too. Going back again in a few months to see the remainder of this beautiful town.
A wide variety of places to visit. Wineries abound in every direction with surely some great wine to tempt the fussy drinker and the no so fussy. A trip around the wineries will put paid to the belief that Queensland wines aren't any good. Quite to the contrary, there are some truly excellent wines to be sampled and some fantastic cellar doors to drink them at. Added to that The Berry Shops and fruit stalls that sell great fresh produce, Cheese makers and Jamworks that is defiantly worth a visit. The Washpool Soap Shop is also excellent with a wide selection of soaps, moisturisers, oils, cleaning products etc. If you have a family or just love Christmas then you have to stop at The Christmas Farm. A Stay at Ridgemill Estate in their brilliant cabins is also a must for a visit to Stanthorpe.
Always a good spot to re-visit. Wineries a real attraction. Many cellar doors dog friendly - check list. Wonderful Cheese shop in Thulimbah just outside town which has space indoors and out for brunch or coffee. Girraween National Park not far away. Gourmet produce in area - chocolate, olives, jams and relishes.

Creek View Cottage was spotlessly clean, spacious and beautifully renovated. The location was perfect for a couple of days in Stanthorpe being within easy walking distance of the CBD, yet still quiet and with a lovely view of the creek. The cottage catches the sun nicely during the day and the wood fire and electric blankets kept us cosy at night. The bottle of local wine was a lovely welcome. We would definitely stay here again.
Location was beautiful and a perfect distance from Stanthorpe town centre and all the wineries. The cabins were well set up and very comfortable with a great breakfast basket that was easily restocked at reception. The brewery and restaurant with your tax big deck looking over a lake was peaceful and a perfect spot for drinking the craft beers and sipping from the gin tasting paddle! Owners were helpful and always accommodating.
Cabins had everything we needed and more, we’re well appointed and very clean. Situated on the waters edge of a picturesque dam the outlook was outstanding. We had a great couple of nights with all the family and enjoyed the location, the fireplace was well stocked with wood and kept us warm throughout the cold weather.
Location - Close drive to many of the wineries and to Stanthorpe. Also very centrally located to the all the locations we planned on visiting. Ambiance - Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the vineyard at night with the stars above and a nice bottle of wine and the nice comfy fireplace in the cabin.

Great place to stay in Stanthorpe with great hosts and a good view of the creek from the room
Just stop over in Stanthorpe, this place is good enough. Shower is comfortable.
Always friendly and helpful. Our go to motel in Stanthorpe.
Despite some unsettled weather, our 4 night stay could not have been better. First up, our hosts Chris & Lynne were very friendly and helpful and meeting them on check-in set a warm relationship for the whole stay. But equally they were not intrusive in any way during our stay. The cottages are delightful overlooking a natural setting with a lake. In the mornings we were gently awakened by the song of kookaburras and the chortling of magpies. Inside the accommodation is fitted out well with everything one needs for a short stay including a welcoming fireplace to add ambience. The breakfast provided (DIY) both hot and cold was more than adequate. There is a good collection of kitchen appliances plus a gas stove top and microwave (no oven). Lynne's 'rocky road' was a very special treat. This was the perfect place to switch off the world, relax and reflect.
We arrived at about 8pm and our cottage had candles set up, jazz music playing and lamps on. The small touches made us feel at home instantly. The grounds were stunning and our cottage was cosy and felt like home immediately. We even cancelled our dinner reservation so that we could have a BBQ at the communal hut down by the creek!! Thank you so much for making our long birthday weekend perfect!!
well appointed with thoughtful touches
