Rest Point Holiday Village has lake views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Walpole. This fab accommodation is right beside the water. The hosts are friendly & organised. There is shop beside reception which has many essentials, fishing gear & a large book exchange library. Our unit 2A was really big, an entry room, large lounge/kitchen & 2 bedrooms (1 X Queen bed in one room and 2 single beds in the other room) The kitchen was complete with everything you could possibly need to self cater including an oven. There is a super efficient electric heater in the lounge room that quickly heated the room . The queen bed had electric blanket and was comfy. Although our unit was not new it has a charming vintage vibe and it is spotlessly clean. Kangaroos are often seen on the lawn of the property and we were excited to see them. We loved our visit and had a great stay at Rest Point Holiday Village.

Quaint little town. Filipino Magic cafe is awesome, the pub meals are so-so. Great beaches/ inlet. Sandy beach at sunset was fantastic. Close to attractions such as treetop walk, Dinosaur park, wineries, breweries and distilleries, with icecream shops and chocolate tasting. Something for everyone.
There is a fabulous eco cruise that goes out into the inlet from Walpole (a must-do) and it is located only 18kms from the fantastic Treetop Walk (anther must-do). The surrounds of the town are beautiful with lots of lovely drives. However, the town itself is quite ordinary and very small - it does have an IGA and a few cafes), but I was left wondering if it wouldn't have been better to stay in Denmark for longer and use this as the base for exploring the area.
The WOW flatboat tour was magnificent and takes you to ‘Gods Country’. Skipper/Tour guide was unbelievably knowledgeable, and funny. Best boat tour we have ever been on. If in Walpole it is a MUST DO!
Walpole is located in a strategic position: near the sea yet near the famous forests of WA and if if you want sand dunes, there are sand dunes to the North and South of Walpole!! For walkers is a paradise since you cam encounter all walking terrains around it, while for the travelers by other means, Walpole is close to very many attractions easily reachable.
Walking trails are beautiful, so are the beaches. It's a short drive to Denmark, which also an amazing place to visit. Lots to do for all ages groups. Although having a place to hire canoes, sail boats, etc would make it more worthwhile. A detailed map showing bitumen/ gravel road would be very helpful. Lot of places are accessible only via gravel road, so a 4 wheel drive is ideal mode of transport. WOW eco cruise is fabulous but not really suitable for young kids. Treetop walk was closed for maintenance but the ancient empires walk was still open. However, be prepared to battle the giant mozzies and flies. Lots of beautiful beaches - coalmine beach, greens pool, madfish bay, waterfall beach, elephant rocks pool. Most of them very kids friendly. Dinosaur Denmark is a little misleading name, they have more than just dinos. They have amazing display of birds and snakes handling is fun. A must do with kids. They have beautiful picnic tables and BBQ, so plan for half a day at least.
WOW boat trip around bay a must! Visit to Valley of the Giants tree top walk amazing. Road to Mt Frankland lookout was gravel and rough in places but wilderness is breathtaking. Seems a safe, pleasant little town, did lots of walking in early morning, quiet, peaceful.
Walpole
I stayed in a 1 bedroom self catering apartment close to the inlet at the front of the property. Accommodation was an older style weatherboard cottage in a group of six. The apartment was basic, comfortable and quite well fitted out. It had queen and single beds. The property is set in a beautiful and tranquil location about 4km drive from centre of Walpole.
Walpole
Friendly management, they gave us several ideas of where to eat and had a very good itinerary for the day in the area. Great spot on the inlet. The Glamping tent we had has been better than some rooms we have stayed in on our trip. Close by to Tree Top Walk in the Valley of the Giants and the Green Pools-excellent beach.
Friendly hosts, perfect place for those who like us love feeling at home and not in a hotel. The pool table and ping pong were a great addition. There were heaters in all bedrooms and a lovely wood fire. The surrounds are peaceful and Kevin the Kangaroo a welcoming resident

This was a wonderful two story and very nice and clean house. Walpole is a lovely little town with lots to explore. Banksia cafe is highly recommended for breakfast, a short walk from the house. I would highly recommend and stay again!
