The hotel is a bit out of the city, but it is across from a very pretty part of the campus with a great park and beautiful buildings. The Greek restaurant across the street was delicious and friendly. The walk into the city center went through a forest beside a stream and then through a very beautiful old part of town - so it was very pleasant, though a few kilometers.

The setting is first rate. The design of the hotel is also a bit unusual, which I think enhances the exterior staying anywhere. And the breakfast room, in a renovated old building, is fantastic, with a wide view onto the courtyard with glimpses of the historic Groot Begijnhof just beyond to tickle the imagination.

The room was spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, the blackout curtains did their job very well. Easy walk from the train station (5-7 minutes) but you can't hear the trains at all. Terrific breakfast. I know they have parking but I didn't have a car so I can't tell you about the parking experience. The town square is about a 10-15 minute walk, not bad at all. The staff were all very friendly.
